They cant punish him for saying stuff at a meeting CCP pretty much said "do whateva" about. I can see them limiting the alliance panel content next year but thats about it. |

All this free publicity can only be good for the game. Why would you prevent it? Sure, a few fires to fight, a few stupid remarks to regret, but the FanFest was awesome and the community is still the most robust, involved and spirited gaming community on the 'net.
Alex has apologised for his foolishness, and hopefully this episode will serve as a warning to people in the future that some jokes don't get told in public. It's as simple as that.
Perhaps we could have a session next year on the psychology of harassment and the correlation between bullying behaviour and feelings of maternal abandonment. |
