What ships are good for bumping others' off stations. Yes, a faction-fit 12 km/s Mach is probably good but I'm looking for an affordable, general setup that's good for the purpose. Is it better to have a fast BC/BS, or a fastER cruiser? Will this change post-nanonerf?

Hmm. Could a 3600 m/s stabber bump a BS off of a station?

My alt's stabber goes about 3k or so, and has bumped a mega and drake about 5km-8km

Edited by: Garrik Doran on 13/09/2008 18:09:50 A rax fited with a 100mn microwarp, butload of PDU's and an inertia stab then all cap in the mids hits like a BS.
The thrust and mass it gains from using a 100mn allows it to hit with the force of a BS but only while the mwd is active, Only problem is that cap is only good for 3 cycles so you only have bout a 30 km runway, and it wont turn ( literally ) but can send all BS cartwheeling if it makes contact at 800-1000ms - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Why specialize when i can fly everything! |

Depends on what your bumping... BS and smaller most cruisers with a mwd (even the nano variety) can do decently.
capital ships are a diffrent story. phoons and armas with plates and overdrives + mwd work well. just remeber less mass and inertia = bad for bumping capitals

Thread necro time:
I have to use an AB because my target is in a mission. Would a 10mn AB with plates and overdrives be better than a 100mn AB with just overdrives and maybe some small plates?
I'm thinking of 1x 100mn AB II, 2x Overdrives, 1x 400mm plate. Would 1x 100MN AB I, 2x Overdrives and 1x 800mm plate work better? How about 2x 400mm plates and 1x OD?
Would a frigate bump more effectively if the whole goal is to stop someone from warping?
