Despite my continual attempts to get on Chaos in last few weeks I was never really able to which sucks but who on earth tested these gun changes.
My tempest firing on a corp mates scorp 20km away. (I have ALL gunnery skills at 4 or 5)
To cut a long story short I hit once out of about 30 shots and that wrecked for 296 or something, I used to wreck for 1000-1400 ... I cannot even bring myself to play anymore if this is how its supposed to be, well I can and it will be in a Taranis/Claw pack like everyone else. I agree large guns should struggle to hit frigs but BS to BS nothing should have changed. I hate these whiner type posts but Ive honestly never been this disillusioned with a patch since release. Did anyone test 1400's on Chaos ? My answer in the help channel was 'If you didnt test it you cant complain' (from a volunteer/coloured text dude) ...**** OFF mate, let more than 30 peeps out of 30,000 on and maybe I will

I took one look at this forum and Patch Review, logged in, updated patch, saw what my corp. mates were posting in corp. channel, and decided I wouldn't log on again until the weekend.
Lots of comalaints about 1400mm's but I've heard all large guns are performing as poorly so don't feel too picked on.

Yeah Josh Ive just had a few corp mates like myself log off in disgust and I know its not just my fave guns which are effected.
Its actually ridiculous that we have been testing this patch outside the station and when 2 BS are obitting each other you cannot hit each other at all. I think a one vs one battle could actually last a matter of hours like this.
I cannot even fathom how TomB or anyone in their right mind can think these changes are ok and then to be told in Help channel that if I didnt test it then I dont have a leg to stand on raged me to post here like a true whiner
Well **** that, I pay to play on Tranq and even still have tried daily to get on Chaos and try things out. Just glad I have a Raven in my hangar

We can only assume that the gun tracking/optimal/accuracy falloffs are as screwed as almost everything in this release.

It is quite insane, 1400s struggle with everything before the patch too. Now they nerf tracking for everything, and cut the falloff in half.

Got 2 hours hunting done with my Rupture and did'nt have any such luck with my 720mms tbh. Same as normal, only the falloff change had me make some low hits on 20-30kms.
The range lowering is just hilarious. 15 km range on an artillery CCP? Hardly what i'd call an artillery. Leaves me with 1km dif to my optimal range, and the good supplement missiles were for my artilleries now seems misplaced :/
The autoreload function did'nt work on the 720mm scouts i use either.

And its even stupider that I couldn't get onto chaos either, but thats because it just didnt work, I NEVER got a response from any Devs about that.

I just spend 42 shots to kill a minmattar scout frigate. (all gunnery skills at 4-5 as well). I don't know if the problem is with the testing rather the complete stupidity of the devs involved. Get this they nerf the MWD to combat frigates using MWD's and in the meantime making frigates completely impossible to hit at normal speeds. This only leaves the MWD nerfed for people who used it on their BS (you know like they describe Minmattar ships in the storyline, fastmoving and hardhitting). Now they have a penalty on shields and cap but are not harder to hit because the nerf lifts the positive sides they are supposed to supply in combat.
As for BS struggling to hit frigates there is a difference between struggling and taking 42 shots to land 2.

In a Tempest with 4x1400 I was able to hit NPC frigates half the time at 50km. Perhaps your problems are a matter of being too close? ------------- You have to go out of your mind from time to time to stay sane. |

Makes you wonder why the frigate fans were complaining about the MWD radius-size straight-line-only changes.
No doubt you can't hit a 0m/s frigate at your optimal range with no lateral/transversal movement.

Same story here,
fought a corp mate in my tempest, both of us semi tanked, we might aswell have been hitting each other with nerf guns, the fight would never end...
I have Motion prediction 5 and i had a Tracking computer 2 fitted, i was at optimal range and my corp mates BS was stationary....
Miss...miss.....miss....miss...miss....miss....your 1400 barely misses....etc

Have you read the Patch forum?
It's full of threads full of people talking about bugs they're reported/experienced and accompanying Dev posts stating that they've never heard of the bugs.. A good number of posts directly associated with buggy/broken implementation on Chaos get locked with suggestions to take the threads to other forums.
People *try* to bug test, but CCP doesn't always seem to listen to the testers.
