I was wondering if I invite a friend with the 21 day trial, can he use the steam offer to upgrade to a full account and get an additional 30 days ? (for a full 51 days) I know i've read something about this somewhere...but can't find it anymore. Atm eve is for 6.8euros on steam.

You also don't need to download the steam client either.

You used to be able to add steam keys to a buddy accounts and receive the rewards. Then there was a steam sale. People made tons of alts and got cheap game time. As a result they got the plexes/game time removed for abusing the system and steam was taken off the list for eglible payments for buddy programs.

I have heard about people that get the rewards later when they have invited a friend who have used the steam deal then continued to play, I just dont know if its true.
