As the current inability to support Premium graphics appears to be the OS rather than WINE (which works just fine with Premium under Linux) 10.5.5 may finally have the fixes necessary to allow Premium graphics.
Doubt it since Premium has been working under CrossOver on the Mac for ages now, and as far as I know, it's WINE-based as well.

Premium hasn't and still doesn't work under CrossOver correctly. I still get rendering errors. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

Did you turn shadows and HDR off? (turn them on first, then turn them off)

Yeah, I have. I still can't see stations and stargates. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

<insert standard "works for me" answer /> The thing is, it still works, if only for some people. Whether that's due to differences in hardware or software, I can't say. However, blaming it on the OS seems to me like barking up, if not the wrong tree, then at least the least likely one.

It is definitely a software issue somewhere. I've heard apple has bad opengl drivers, but I don't have any personal experience with that. Anyways, I know this because I had the exact same problem as Verite Rendition, using linux/wine/premium graphics. It only affected geforce 7xxx cards, and was fixed a couple months back or so.

Similar problems for me..... Station graphics are bizzare.... As I rotate my ship around I'll get random diagonal blue lines and sometimes the whole screen blues out below the diagonal line.... Backgrounds look OK though......No map lines anymore and all the stations are little dots....Can't ID stations by color anymore.... Hope they fix this soon! Time will tell..... |

Hi. I have the exact same problem as Gallderfield above on a MacBook Pro with ati x1600 and on a MacPro with ati x1900 XT. On the mac pro the problem goes away when I switch the monitor to the GeForce 7300 GT (not in 16x slot). 10.5.5 changed something with ati drivers and messed up Eve! Look forward to a solution.
