Rudy Metallo The Bastards	Posted - 2008.09.19 03:21:00 - [1] GIEF TEH SET UPZ. Mac makes EFT not work, so I need some ideas from you, the general public, on a 0.0 ratting cruiser. I'd like it to be able to take Dual BS spawns, but not necessarily triples. Rats will most likely be of the Serpentis type, so yeah. Currently have a pretty nice enyo, but it takes forevvveeer to take down the dual spawns etc. I'd like something that goes relatively quickly. No Caldari cruisers, but all others are game. I was thinking maybe an Arby or Vexor, although my drone skills are barely par (Can use t2 though). Was thinking maybe an arby and carry amarr meds (cant remember name) for the shields, then pull them in and use valks on the armor, and then keep some hammerheads as spares, and maybe 5 warriors for the frigs. But I'd still need to figure out a tank. Although I was thinking that maybe I could use nav links and maintain distance at like 70km and let me drones pewpew them all to death. Sound like a good strategy? Feedback/fits plx. --

Generally, they're weakest to whatever damage type they shoot most. So for serp this would mean they're probably most weak to thermal and a little weak to kinetic but somewhat resistant to em and explosive. To me, that screams vexor.

I would say blasters instead of rails while orbiting the bs's at 500 is a better tank. rat blasterships can generally hit farther out than their player counterparts.

I ended up doing some math anyway, I figure I can sit at 75km in an Arby w/ two link augs, an mwd, web and two large extenders, and then some cap relays and nanofibers in the lows and I'm sitting pretty. Just need more drone skills. --

The best thing I could advise to you is to log into your account on this here website and click the cancel button.. becuase if your TOO LAZY to play with some ship fittings then your way too lazy to actually play the game you are paying for. I have to agree with the rest of the posters who say your a complete ass! I mean I troll from time to time, but atleast I ask for and am thankfull for the advise I get when I ask for it. And about the Vexor unless your an ebayer who just bought your character, if you cant figure out a good fitting for a vexor you definatelly need to cancel your account! edit Oh and the vexor makes for a way better ratter than an arby, and ditch the MWD, your a tossed salad. your signiture rad is going to be fukkign huge. Tho i must say that i donot like Rudy Metallo way of asking pplz for help all that much. use the vexor i posted and be happy with it. it wont get much better but you need to figur out how to fly it yourself, if you do not want to compare setups then you are looking for us to make an discousion out of that for you but normaly that dousent happen and your lefft with many setups but dont know whitch for what job. for sanchas try mine and dont forget to warp scramble them. ------------------------------ WTB: Minmatar X-Type Duck-Tape

Little Fistter	Posted - 2008.09.19 21:36:00 - [16] Calculate the damage you will sustain. Maybe 200-250 dps from two BSes', and that will be 60% thermal and 40K kinetic. Select a cruiser that can maintain a tank. Vexor is good, but a Thorax might be better. I assume you can not use energised armor resists, so go with faction plates and get the resists up there for thermal and kinetic. Make sure your repper can run non stop on your cap, do not depend on cap boosters. Once you can tank, its time to fit weapons. Serp BSes tend to stay 25-40 km away, so you either have to be fast and circle them with blasters, or use damage mods and rails. I would try this: Hi 5x 200 mm rail with Iron, Lead and Antimatter Medium cap recharger 10 mn AB option Low Corulum C-Type Thermal Plate Corulum C-Type Kinetic Plate 1600 mm Rolled Tungsten Armor Medium Armor Rep II (or best named MAR you can afford) Magnetic Stabilizer II (Or best named you can afford) Drones Five Hammerhead II or Infiltrator II Rigs Nanobot Accelerator Trimark Armor Pump Also I would try to get some implants that benefot armor tanking or medium hybrid damage/ROF. Bonus points: I think you might want to ask friendly, kind people around you in real life about these things we call "manners". Good luck! Suggestion: Please color jump gates the same color as the system security rating of the destination system in the overview. *LITTLE FISTTER* Broken Sigs?

Little Fistter thats the damag you would take if your not moving, with an AB and a range of over 10k or under 500m your to fast for theyr guns and your signature radious takes away alot of the damag, smaler signature dous not just mean less damag proportionaly but it also decreases the qualety of hits- you will get few wracking hits and many many barly hits additionlal to the damag reduction. ------------------------------ WTB: Minmatar X-Type Duck-Tape

High: 3 Medium Neutron Blasters, 1 small Neutron Blaster (if can fit, optional), 1 Small Armor Repairer (For the drones) Medium: 2 Small Cap Boosters with 200's, 1 10MN AB, 1 Web Low: 1 Medium Armor Repairer, 3 Energized Adaptive Nano membrane (can be substituted for rat-specific hardners) Drones: 5 Hobgoblins (For frigs), 1 Hobgoblin 2 hammerheads 2 ogres (Sounds idiotic but has the best possible DPS, better even than 5 T2 hammerheads) Not exactly a perma-tank, but should last a while with a hold full of boosters. Orbiting as close as possible is extremely important however, as this cannot tank a battleship spawn forever.

And, being in 0.0 its not a good plan on being dependent on capcharges. Try out something with a medium/large cap battery, and drop the blasters for small blasters/rails.

I've been playing this game for 2 years, and you can do one of two things on this thread - give me a set up, preferably one that costs 10m or less, or you can tell me how to get EFT working on Leopard and shut up. Of course I know how to set up a vexor for ratting. I have an enyo sitting in a station near a 0.0 fully t2 w/ a cloak, ready to go for ratting, but it takes too damn long to kill dual BS spawns. I could set up a cheap Vexor and go out to 0.0, and probably be fairly successful. But I usually find it useful to get a second opinion on these things, so I came to this forum, figuring that this would be the place to find it. Obviously, my attempt at some humor, by claiming I was "too lazy" to do the math was taken offensively by some people. If so, remove the sand from your vagina before speaking. Maybe I should just pack up my bags and leave, if this is what Eve has devolved to. A bunch of uptight adolescents who can'y be helpful and can't take a joke. Should easily tank even triple bs spawns moar than long enough to kill them off with a quick run to the ss and back if things get frisky to let the shield recharge a bit. If you keep an eagle eye on local and your drones then rep them when they get shot up you can effectively stay undocked in 0.0 for as long as you wish and rat away. You will only need to leave when your cargo gets filled with salvage and those certain high value loot items but a handy hauler alt on another account or even the same account will work wonders on endurance. inappropriate signature. ~WeatherMan

I like how you read all of the sentence. Is your ADD really that bad? I would have had to gone through a lot of **ing around with numbers, which I didnt want to do, and would probably mess up do to my utter failure when it comes to even the most simple math. Moving on, in terms of accumulating enough isk etc, I have 21m currently if you must know, because I have a bad habit of **ing up while flying vagas. "Dont fly what you cant afford to lose" tends to be a rule I ignore, but I dont really care because for me its about having fun not about making sure I can fly toys around, although toys are nice. I was on the offensive because, as I stated in my third post here, I was annoyed because I clearly stated that I needed setups in my first post, which was ignored, at least at first. I apologized for being curt, and got more flames in return for my apology. Now, excuse me for (what will be taken out of context and distorted into) my stupidity, but I see a gap in logic there. Thanks for the arbitrator setup, sounds decent enough, may give it a try. --

I went with: 4 electron blaster cannon IIs (the med electrons) Protocloak MWD 2 Large Shield Extenders 3 Magstabs + copro (for fitting) 2 therm shield rigs and 1 kin shield rig. Its only a buffer rather than a tank, but i would mwd upto a battleship spawn, gank the hell out of them, then onto the next, never really had to think about warping out.
