1. It can spawn missiles almost like NPC BS used to. 2. It never misses while most of BS guns do all the time. 3. It can shoot torps which now do like 520+ damage so it does 3120+ damage every 16 seconds and about half that damage against a ship with hardeners. Yes they are slow moving but at short range you're toast instantly. 4. It can shoot FOF so even if it is target jammed still hits you. 5. It can prevent you from warping by knocking you around with missiles
This was all tested... nice balance.

Wait for tracking to be fixed before you complain about how it performs against turret-based BS.

Well Joshua I can tell you that we were testing Apoc with 6 tachyons and a full armor tank against a armor tanked Raven, that's right armor tanked, and the Raven not only kicked Apocs ass but it was able to completely tank him with cap holding steady and then kick his ass. Apoc was hitting him everytime so turret tracking was not a problem.

good armour tanking will whoop a raven i was shooting someone yesterday (with cruise missiles and lev 4 cruise) and doing 33.6 emp, 43.4 thermal and 47.2 kenetic per missile umm seems like there is something far more uber than a raven to me

6 Siege = 10500 5 Siege = 8750 4 Sige = 7000
So an armour tanked raven can mount 4 siege launchers and no other large guns..... very Uber
And btw Tachs are fleet battle guns, if you want to 1v1 use mega beams or 425's its abit hard to tank after the tachs have drained all your cap. Mostly harmless |

What were you using rockets? An armour hardener raises your resistance to about 60% so there's no way a cruise would be doing that little damage. And even if you're not satisfied with damage then, try using torps. They are great now.

Why is everyone trying to mount large repairers? Try fitting several medium tech II. You can fill your mediums with cap II rechargers and have all the cap just for running those. Not to mention you can use cap relays on lows since you're not shield boosting. Raven also has a good shield, so before they even get to your armor they will be using cap for guns and their tanking and you will be using none. Time the repairers correctly and you will be having some nice constant repair rates and using cap for runing them only. Is it better to use hardners or using more repairers is still open for discussion what is better damage and cap wise.

You have 5 slots to armourtank, 3 for harderners 2 for reapirs 2 t2 repairs = 1 large repair = 1 large shield booster, one large booster is not enough to tank 1 other player bs, on my apoc I can however run 2 large nonstop with all my guns firing.
In addition ravens still have terrible dmg lag at long ranges their next to useless compared to turret based ships. Shield tanking is also far supperior to armourtanking in fleet engagements, any raven in this situation requires cap boosters so has a definate life span.
Mostly harmless |

Hard to comment on because still getting used to this patch, but my extensive missiles testing has shown one thing. Defenders are hitting 100% over 10km. So as long as you can hold the raven over this distance, you can hold your own with launchers filled with defenders, and take him with the turrets(after they tweak them). Still a close fight though from what I've seen, but it equals the playing field a lot. If the raven gets close to you your dead....unless you have like 3 smart bombs on at least....and then your probably still dead.

Defenders hit 100%. So fit apoc with 2 rocket launchers with defeners. Thier rof is 4 sec, so 1 rocket laucnher can keep up with 4 siege. You will render all raven missles useless and stil have ur guns.

When did they fix defenders?  Last time I tried, no matter how many launchers with defenders, they ALL targeted the same missile. When that missile blew up (often by hitting me...), they all went nuts and imploded.

well i noticed this on Chaos before with Torps, an apoc managed to kill the torps of 4 siege launchers o 99% at 40km Wanna fly with me?
