Some changes and fixes has been introduced to the EVE API in the Empyrean Age 1.1 release. The major guidance for these things came from the players and we hope they will be useful for everyone out there developing 3rd party tools for EVE. All details can be found in EVE API vs. Empyrean Age 1.1.

Now are you going to update the documentation here, or just concede that this is the "official" documentation for the api.

also would corps or allainces ever get thier own api keys that the ceo of the organization can upload?

It seems to be that this is as close to official documentation as we're getting for the moment. Can't complain too much - at least it works. |

Ok ... so clone info is "KINDA" useful ... but what would be really really really useful is if the character sheet download included all your jump clones (not just the one you are currently in), where they are and what implants they have in them!
Any chance we can see that sometime soon?

1st devblog in that month! Last month had 2 dev blogs. If you look into archive you will se each month had avarge 7 devblogs/month
And now? :( We should thank devs that they care to post devblog at all.

I noticed that the API provides factions as -1 to +1 with two decimal places, but the in-game faction is shown as -10 to +10 with two decimal places. This makes the API an order of magnitude less accurate than the in-game data. Not serious, but certainly inconsistent.

I know all the arguments are correct because they work perfectly with other parts of the API. ----- DIY copying in Liekuri 20:1 mineral compression |

while new api functions are great (although tbh I don't care for much more functionality than what evemon/eft can provide) I have really been looking forward to game play/balance, and economic blogs. heh didn't they say a dev blog would be comming soon after they rolled back sisi on the speed changes... it has been a while since that

"...to enrich 3rd party tools further."
Aside from EveMon, what other 3rd party tools were considered for enrichment? It would be much appreciated if CCP would please lend a hand to the EVE Master Datasheet (See: http://www.troiess.com/index.html ) -especially for OpenOffice users.
Thank you.

complete api noob here but have been having some troubles with my api and eve lately. I was wondering is accessing stuff like eve mon done on same ip as eve or on same ip as website?
Problem is I'm stuck behind a firewall that blocks eve and am stuck using a program called http tunnel. No I'm not using eve at work (what this program is usually for) I just share internet with rest of my apartment complex (few hundred ppl) and the people running the net for us really don't know what they are doing. Do I have to do something special like this to get access to eve mon as well?
CCP please look at mining agent mining mission %..... I want better than 60% mining missions from a mining agent =( |

The ContainerLog had a performance problem and we had to take it down. There's a fix in the pipes but it got pushed down the priority queue, we'll get it out as soon as possible.
The standings being from -1 to 1 instead of -10 to 10 is a bug and it also has a fix on its way.

don't get me wrong; i like this outsourcing of development called the api. but if it's the only dev blog in about two months it feels more like: "yeah we don't do eve anymore, guys. do it yourself" - putting the gist back into logistics |

The API isn't outsourcing dev work, it is giving the Eve community tools to build helpful applications outside the game.
CCP doesnn't have to write browser-based wallet tools for you, or EveMon, or any of the amazing apps that people have written for us, largely for free.
There's no reason on Earth why they should have to give us external-application access to in-game information, it is simply something cool that they do for us.

I see a new dev-blog and become excited, I read and my excitement subsides. Whilst I am interested in API stuff, it's just not really to do with new features or where the game is heading.
As others have said: 2 months with nothing and then this is what we get? Stop hoarding stuff for fanfest. It's kind of crap. We shouldn't be left out of the loop just because we're not prepared to spend thousands on airfares and accommodation.
I give this a 3/10. ----------
