I'd say the Jove are atheists, and might have a culture similar to the Vulcans from Star Trek, seeing as they seem to lack/supress emotions.

The Jove empire is very varied. You cannot group a Jove under one tag as it depends on where he is from. There are many very different Jove bloodlines and life styles.
The Jove didn't strip away all emotions, they also added new ones. Different fractions have different emotions.

Where'd you get that bloodline description?
I'd say that the Jove aren't really an Empire in the sense of the word, and more like a fascist-esque state.

Edited by: Pottsey on 20/09/2008 18:40:32 There are Jove in game if you know where to look or hang around the Jove channel. The Dronemind agent that give Jove standings had the description of the Jove modifiers.
So far I am aware of 8 groups of Jove. Statics and Modifiers seem to be the two main Jove groups. The others are referenced in the database game files.
"nsullied Genetic engineering has through the centuries transformed Jovian society in every aspect imaginable. Many Jovians believe that enough has been done. The Unsullied is a group of Jovians that have rejected further generic experiments and instead adopt conventional methods to deal with sickness and old age. They are advocates of cyber-implants and want to use machines instead of genes in the search for better life." Not seen them in game yet. I wonder why the Dronemind isnt this group? It looks like everything is in place for Jove playable characters and has been since day 1. All the race bloodlines with male and female variation are written. If you poke around the right files you can get a lot of background info. The question is how much is valid? ____ Telltale sign of their presence is non-linear teleportation (www.eve-online.com/races/theodicy/Theodicy_All.pdf)

It sounds like instead of ethnic groups, the Jove have more social-type groups, or something. Perhaps they became the same bloodline relatively due to all the genetic stuff.

Vulcan crossed with a biotechnoloigcal borg with very advanced technology sounds like the group that rejects gentic engineering could perhaps discourage the other empires from doing the same or assist sub groups like the jove do in technoligical advancement
