A corp of griefers has recently declared war upon me and my alts in our small mining corporation. We are vastly out numbered 3 to 45 and will be crushed by these more experienced players.
It is causing me much distress and they have been harrasing me already but now they can do whatever they want :( I have no combat skillpoints or experiance for that matter and I have no idea what to do.
I might just leave the game if CCP continue to support these griefing tactics. The corp is Immortalis Inc. and if anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.
We need to make a stand against such scum, but I fear I cannot do it alone..

Best thing to do is simply not undock.
Log on and sit in the station afk, make them waste hours on end camping nothing in the station.
If you must move, take a shuttle, as long as you pay attation you won't die.
Don't pay them as thats what they want.
Otherwise you'll be killed everytime you undock, and they'll keep coming. Bore them to death and they'll drop the war dec and leave like most all griefers.

Edited by: Mickey Simon on 21/09/2008 10:22:03 First of all, it's not really grieving. You've formed a player corp, and are able to be attacked. If you can't handle that - go back to the NPC corp.
If you need further help, I know of a few people who would be willing to help you out for a price so contact me in-game. edit: I'll be contactable after downtime.

They want you to pay them, fight them, or pay someone else to fight them. For this, they are making regular payments to CCP to continue the war.
If you want to annoy them, simply bore them to death. Ignore them. Log on, as has been said, while you go to work or school, while you're watching TV, etc. If you have jump clones in some other part of space, jump there and do your mining or mission-running or manufacturing, until they locate you; then bore them there as well.
Not very many pirates are willing to pay millions of ISK for the privilege of camping outside a station on the chance that one of three members of a corporation might actually be coming out...now. Now! Wait--now!!! One, two, three, now! Now! Now now now!
As you're making out with your girlfriend (a lot of assumptions there, I know), take extra pleasure in imagining them all lurking outside the station, thinking you're just about ready to undock.
This is more suspenseful for them if you never, ever, say anything; not to them, not in local, not on these forums, etc.

I had a contract in for some battleships and am just getting the last of the required minerals to build them, but know the contract may fall through as I will be unable to complete production. It would be a lot of work to relocate, is there not some way that i can simply surrender?

you better pay them off, or hire some mercs w/ the money that the "pirate" corp wants, tell them that if htye want their money, you just gave it all to the merc corp that just decced them, plain and simple
please, dont come here making empty threats about "quitting" you have been spending $45 on this game for however long youve had you and your two alts, and besides that, no one cares
so, pay up, or hire some mercs, plain and simple, threaten them, tell them your GOING to hire mercs if they dont end the war, they will probably just laugh at you, but its worth a shot

Out of the box solution:
1) disband ur corp 2) join a low sec or 0.0 mining corp 3) profit
Why? 1) low sec grav sites netting 20000 zydrine are common--u can make 1 bs a nite and its pretty low risk if u do it right 2) 0.0 mining in a hulk will make 4x what ur doing now--u can even get killed weekly and still make more isk
You have 2 alts...
That means you are ready for 0.0--you have a scout, a hauler, and a miner...
mail me and i can suggest some good corps/alliances for you, assuming you're not a troll and urs was a troll post...

Seriously now, what the **** are you talking about. whatcha want a cookie, you expect someone to just do favours for you??? obviously you are in a wrong thread. in C&P everything costs money. even us waisting our time reading the **** by OP. If you want help put some isk out. and be advised, it'll cost you. can't defend yourself then leave, someone will take your place in the carebear ranks. eve is a harsh place, deal with it.
As far as the CCP supporting or discouraging stuff. Here's my take on it. Stop being a selfish ****. we pay to play the game just like anyone else. and guess what we happen to like blowing pixels up on screen. so this goes out to all the carebears, the eve universe does not revolve around you and your whines, grow a pair for once. I'm out, and no i don't care about my grammar and spelling.

Don't think that CCP will remove the wardec options xen... I mean, it's them who deliberately coded it in their game. It didn't slip in as a bug you know. They might tweak the system a bit but in your case, it wouldn't make much difference.
Anyway, if you don't want to fight, sit in station for a week as others have told ya. The other corp will get bored soon enough. If they don't pay the fee a second time, the war will only last one week.
Regarding your contract for the Battleship production, you have some options there: a) buy the minerals you're missing. Mining them isn't an option b) Have the minerals delivered to your manufacturing system with a courier contract c) if that all fails, buy the battleship from the market and sell it through the contract. Yes, you'll loose money but your reputation regarding contracts is still ok (if that would be important to you)
Being at war will always cost ya money, unless you can kill the other corp repeatedly and loot their wrecks. The art is to reduce this money loss as much as possible.
We've all been in this situation when we started....

Go to an NPC corp? What is stopping you from making your alts leave your corporation to join an NPC corp where they are immune to wardecs? You can keep one character in the corporation to hold it until they get bored of paying for this war and mine from an NPC corp perfectly fine.
CCP gave you a way to avoid these so-called "grief" tactics - why aren't you using it?

Well, congrats you probably just increased the war decc'ing corp's E-peen by a significant amount.
Drop to an NPC corp. If its just all your alts, you should be able to manage from an NPC corp just fine. Have a complete communication blackout with the aggressors, as thats where all the majority of their fun comes from. Lulz and tears are worth a pretty premium, while kills and killmails are fairly easy to get.

If you only have 3 players in your corp and donĘt plan on growing and you are really distressed by this, then make a new corporation and all hop over to the new corp.
If they dec that one, hop over to another and so forth until they stop harassing you. When they grief you, then you have to grief back. Corp hopping is cowardly but not banned by CCP (alliance hopping is banned) so you can corp hop to prevent their harassment. The griefers can only declare war at 3 corporations at any given time, so when you have hopped to nr 3 they will give up and you can hop back to your original corp with all its offices and stuff (as long as you just keep an alt in it in order to keep it open).
Gl with griefing the griefers! HarHarHar
p.s. CCP is looking into a way how the defending corp can end a war via objectives (capture the flag, or payments or whatever). I read it in some dev's blog but donĘt know what blog.

Tip: start an alt with a corp, join that corp during wardeck on the other corp. When they deck both corps wait it out and enjoy the fact they just decked 2 corps and you just remain afk in station...just like the ones posted above about kissing your girl and them constantly waiting on station to kick your ass and discussing how great they are over Ventrillo
Otherwise join NPC corp and get your contracts done. BUT dont pay them, never pay. Corps like MAFIA enjoy doing that, you pay a certain amount a year to be "safe". Now we are talking about MAFIA...i once lolled so much when they got concordokkend when they attack a POS of some corp in high sec. They decked them and attacked the POS, they were webbed and getting their asses kicked, then some friend of them tried to remote rep them while not being in MAFIA so concord came. Then MAFIA remote repped him and got concordokkend as well Anyway, DONT PAY and join NPC or a shadow corp. The world doenst end with a wardeck so stop whining about "quitting"

If it's true, well best of luck. There are guides you can follow about surviving wardecs... I don't know how easy they are to find on the EVE website but you might get some luck with google. Removed. Hi sec wardeccin corps search for 2 things:
1)Fun and Kills 2)Money
By not paying them you are making them not getting any profit of this. By not undocking you are making them bore.
So dont pay and don't undock. But pleasem log you char. They had your chars in their buddy list so as soon as you connect, they come to camp you probably. So log in, and then go make something else. They will camp the station and have no fun at all. Dont give them any kills. Use alts / other chars to do or move stuff
Sincerily, if you are thinking of quitting the game, you don't really understand the way this game is. They aren't doing anything illegal so CCP has nothing to do.
And last, just dont post this info there. This forum may be called "Crime & punishment" but it should be named "Crime". So this forum is full of pirates that found amusing and even funny what happens to you and your reaction to the issue.

What exactly made you leave the noob corp then? The only real purpose of player corps is the high-end industry content (POS) and PvP. (and bad CEO milking noobs tax money)
If you just want to "do stuff" with your friends, be it mining missioning or whatever you can do it out of a NPC corp. -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

ROFL! Excellent jab there!
Empire war corps are often misunderstood. We've been doing this 2+ years and I can honestly say it's not about easy kills or making ISK from people.
Sitting docked probably wont bore any halfway decent war corp. Keep in mind they have 2 other war dec slots open for other wars and they will keep themselves busy with those corps and eventually catch you unawares.
One of the corps we dec'd is going on their 2nd month dec'd. No negotiations, no diplomacy or any attempt to settle up. I offered them 100 mil to surrender. They're down over a billion ISK not counting the time they spend docked all day long.
As someone said, if you're not strong enough and can't handle war, then you need to stick to NPC corps or join a stronger corp/alliance to protect you.

Why not even try to fight it? T1 ships cost next to nothing to lose, other than your pride - but you've got none of that by not even attempting to find a mature solution to this problem. 3 to 45 is hardly vastly outnumbered unless they bring all 45 of your pilots against you at once (and is that ever likely to happen?) and you'd probably enjoy yourself much more by actually *trying* to fight back instead of just bending over and taking it.

I cannot really fight back, they have command ships, electronic attack ships, stealth bombers, battleships and battlecruisers. I can only fly frigates, exhumers and industrials :( There are currently 6 of them camping me. I would just be killed instantly.
