Considering that the CSM7 hasn't even started yet, and considering that The Mittani has received more votes than the next two candidates combined, and considering all those votes have just been rendered invalid, CCP is going to hold the elections for CSM7 again right?
I mean, regardless of what The Mittani did, that's the only possibly fair thing to do, right?
And anybody who opposes a revote is clearly trying to use a manufactured scandal for political gain, yeah? |

Anything other than a revote is going to make this CSM a complete joke if they insist that Mittens can't serve on CSM7. Of course, their devblog and in-game news post are both so poorly written that it seems like CCP thinks that he resigned completely from CSM6 rather than just from the chair and is intentionally declining to serve at all on CSM7 which is complete bullshit. I'm not quite sure how they think throwing away 1/6 of the votes cast in a CSM election is going to make this go away faster. |

Right, which is why he was removed, and why we're going to have a revote.
Unless you're saying that this was all actually about getting The Mittani off of the CSM, and not actually about what The Mittani said. But that would mean people were using the threat of suicide to manipulate the election, and that would be wrong, yeah? |

If the election has been tainted by The Mittani's behavior, it should be thrown out, and new one held. If The Mittani has destroyed the integrity of the current CSM, a new one should be elected.

Honestly I don't know if they can do a new election in spite of what happened. If you are angry and feel like your vote was suddenly made worthless, there is no one other than the candidate that did the wrong to blame. How you feel about that and what you do about it in the future rests in your hands. You just can't blame the court for sentencing the drunk driver. CCP did their job. |

i would hope this shows people just how important the vote is and how it is crucial to ensure you have used your vote wisely.
it is a shame that this occured in the first place. i feel for ccp right now, i really do. |

None of the people that were voted into CSM7 are to blame for this. The thing is, if Mittens didn't run I would have voted for Hans (who didn't make it into the top 7). I certainly did not see this debacle coming when I voted for Mittens. If I did then I wouldn't have voted for him. Shouldn't I be allowed to vote for Hans if I think he would be the next best thing to Mittens?
CCP can do another vote for CSM if they wish. Everyone who voted for someone other than Mittens can just do the same again, and the votes that did go to Mittens can go to who the voters think is the next best option.

Other members weren't removed before the CSM had already started session, for things completely unrelated to the CSM. |

CCP might want to not alienate the largest voting bloc in EVE. I mean it could, just for example put people like Riverini, Xenuria, and 3 other laughable people on the CSM next year. That would usher in a new age of awesome. |
