McClaren have lost their appeal against the penalty against Lewis Hamilton, despite the fact that he seemed to have had no choice, AND he undid what he did as soon as possible.
This is balls. FIA are knobs. End rant.

I made a detailed post about this, but the stupid forums ate it.
In short :
Mclaren aren't in the wrong here and the descision on race day was balls, however the FIA won't answer the appeal positively because it makes them and the track stewards look like dumbasses if they have to revert a ruling.
Either way, I'm a loyal McMerc supporter and I've got to say it's going to make the race for the championship trophies a lot more savage.
It's also adding a lot of fuel to the fire that the FIA are Ferrari biased after the only appeal that was heard and resolved was the stupid "spy" claim last year, in which Ferrari's main rival was arse humped by the FIA's ruling.
I suspect there'll be hell on at the end of the season if Hamilton loses out on the championship because of points he didn't get that he rightfully earned.
The whole situation is a farce, and a pile of shit in my opinion. The FIA need a set of stewards of their own, headed my Charlie Whiting who travel to all the races. Having the stewards from each track do the job is shitty and inconsistant.

What really ****es me off is that the other driver involved crashed out about 2 seconds later.
clearly he was a contender then.......
NOT!
you can stuff your F1, im going back to MotoGP, at least there when one team/rider whinges about something that was fair racing they get pwned by everyone else instead of listened to and supported.

I think that whatever happens this year, it'll be close. So if Hamilton doesn't win it, then he'll only not-win-it by a few points, which is when I think shit will hit the fan over the whole knocking-back-to-third place thing. If Hamilton STILL wins it now, then that'll just make his victory all the more glorious.

You can't appeal against a drive-through penalty, is what it boils down to. And, given that a drive-through is normally served during the race, it's usually pretty obvious that you can't appeal against one. ________________________________________________

F1 would have truly been a farce if Hamilton had been awarded the victory in the appeal. If you've been watching F1 for long enough, It's obvious he didn't surrender his advantage fully before taking Raikkonen. I know there are a lot of biased folk who just want Hamilton to win. But this guy is a rule braker. He's been punished multiple times and deservedly so.
His attitude hasn't won him any friends either. He is incredibly arrogant and rude. Confidence in your ability is one thing, but he honestly believes he is some kind of racing god. It would be hard to argue that Massa is the most deserving of the title, and has been the most consistent this season.
I just hope this doesn't take away from Massa's title win, if he wins.

F1 is fixed there is too much money involved for it not to be. Plus there is only one bloke in charge.
They're not gonna let a black guy win F1 especially when he's new and comes straight in as a winner.
Have you noticed how a lot of new drivers do really well then all of a sudden drop into the background the following seasons. Then five years down the road when its their turn to win they suddenly come out of nowhere. /start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig |

lol I'll run my theory past my mates brother he's just got a job on the McLaren F1 team.
Although he has to sweep floors for 6 months at Renault before they'll let him go so he doesn't pass any secrets on.
My prediction is Lewis will not win and F1 within the next five years. /start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig |

This,
There was a drive through awarded, however a drive through cannot be served within the last 5 laps of the race (after Schumacher incident at Silverstone a few years back.) and is then given a 25 second penalty after the race. The argument was that Hamilton made up time on Raikonen and would not have been close enough to overtake otherwise. The fact that Raikonnen crashed out afterwards is immaterial!!!!

It seems as if the Ferrarri conspiracy is alive and well. After years of watching Shumacher get away with blatant cheating, watching the officials penalise McLaren at every opportunity indicates that this is so. Were it not for the fact that Honda (I Like Honda) may have a good car next year and that it moves to BBC1 with NO ADVERTS (Hooray!), I would discontinue my lifelong association with the sport.
Its time Ferrarri got itself out of Ecclestons shadow and stood on their own as a team.

Want to win in F1?
Paint your cars red and speak Italian. The added benefit is that the FIA will chow down on your dong on demand.
