just thought i would post here as for sometime now i have been trying to join a new corp but have no luck. i am a 8.5mil skill point character and i have 2 alts i also run is well. 1 is 5.6mil and the other 2.2mil. i want to fly fight and mine but so far have had no luck on the recruitment channel. not interested in small corps as when i join then i get nothing out of it but hassel( so far at least)  if anybody can help me then please reply!

Finding the right corp is hard... You need to decide exactly what you want from a corp. Make a long post on the forum, saying everything you require and expect. What your willing to to in return, what you like doing. This shows your intresed and willing.

thanks for the links shadow look very cool. if any recruiters read this i am really after a corp that is into pvp as i have not done any yet but have prety good skills for it. (level 3 minimun in all elec engr gunnery and missils skills and most are at 4) plus im a good miner (aestro 4 mining 5) and enjoy helping out anyway i can! im working abroad just now but starting back eve full time on july 8th! if u have a corp that is recruiting then please give me a shout on this forum as i run 3 characters and have a mate looking for a new corp and he runs 2 characters is well! many thanks

Critical Mass Enterprises [CME], is a multifaceted organisation seeking players of all sorts.
Due to a recent move down into our new home which is in 0.0 space, we suggest you have at least a cruiser, or skills for a cruiser.
CME, the 7TH CORPORATION CREATED since the RELEASE of EVE Online, holds many oppertunities for its members. Ships can be supplied at minimal IF any cost at all.

id never use the recruitment channel to find a corp or new people for mine but thats just me.
find a corp you like and see if they are hireing ask one of there people who you should speak with hang on the chat channel and if thing seem good to you both hang on their voice coms and if no red flags pop up apply, with that # of skill points id think you should know some people in eve.
my corp and im sure many others will just trash a cold app its best to talk with the corp i think before applying.
i know my list of corps id talk too if rkk wasnt working for me is pretty long with fun people on many diffrent sides of "the fence"
if you truely know nobody maybe you should try and join a more interactive corp that deals with others that way you can meet new people
