The fixes are scheduled to be deployed to Tranquility on Tuesday together with Empyrean Age 1.1.1.

Cool!!! Then I finally can upgrade to 5.5 as well.
Thanks CCP, you've been busy bees these past weeks, I see looking over the dev blogs etc. Can't wait to see the rest (hint hint)

Just out of curiosity... why isn't this fact written in the patch notes of that patch? I would actually like to know if a patch has some issues fixed for me...

Yes, that one is obviously missing. I'll look into it and see where it got lost.

All those fixes are for you. Maybe not the "The Stabber Fleet Issue" fix, yet. But they all affect EVE which means that they all are fixes for you!

I have some bad news, while testing the new version which had the 10.5.5 issues resolved, we uncovered another issue and we have decided to use the existing version until this issue has been resolved. This means that we will not deploy a fix for the 10.5.5 related issues. We're hoping to have this resolved and all the fixes deployed at a later date.

Thanks for letting us know. Although it is disappointing, it's better to have found these issues rather than later.
I think I speak for everyone in that we hope you manage to get it resolved and deployed as soon as it's ready. Just one question though, has the crashing/quiting problem been fixed in this patch at all?
Thanks again. |

Your openness on this issue has shivers run down my spine. I'd kiss you if you where female. Good luck on getting the other issue fixed.

Respect due to CCP Cascade.
It would still be nice to know if the current problem and the one you have internally discovered is to be resolved at the CCP or at the Cedega level, but having some info (and especially having it timely) is still a huge improvement over standard CCP communication.

So does this mean that there will be a new client/update for the mac, or no?

Yes there will be an update, because some of those updates aren't server side only. Another matter are the mac specific updates, which the 10.5.5 fix was. Not sure if there any others directly mac related fixes in the patch.

2nd. I'm content that it's playable, so waiting it's so bad. If I couldn't see the bad guys coming, then that's a different issue :)

Edited by: Morwen Lagann on 01/10/2008 05:16:51 In my case the issues with the graphics don't prevent me from actually playing the game, so I'm content to just play with the funky station graphics until a fix is released.
Again, thank you for keeping us up to date on the issue, Casqade.

What is the new timeframe? Is it something on your end that needs fixing or something Apple/etc needs to do? If it's the latter I guess the timeframe is ~6 months if we are lucky. :( |

Good news is that we have all the fixes in and what is left is making sure that they work. We're getting ready for deploying this as soon as we have an opportunity to do so. I'm sorry, but I cannot give you a more exact time frame than that.
Soon.
