I am pretty knew to EVE. I've played it a few times before but never for very long and I want this time to be different. I always start off thinking it will be great but then lose interest when I cant find anyone to do things with.
So this time I've made an industry alt and have been training up (random) Industry skills for about 5 days now I think.
What I want:
- Someone who has done all kinds of super fun industry type things before: Data cores, Mining, Manufacturing, all the other stuff I am not familiar with.
- Be able to explain to me key things I have to in order to be successful in these areas. (Tell me things I should know but might not know enough to ask about)
- What I should expect to get out of the industry career path and how long it will take me to be any good at it.
- Be able to answer any silly questions I have while they are online.
- If applicable show me how to do something in person... (Im not too sure about this one, originally I wanted to do this on my military career account which would make sense but I suspect most industry things besides mining are done alone)
- Speak English clearly (and hopefully type it well enough too).
- Send me a mail with a description of what areas you know and how you think you will be able to give me a better learning experience than the other people!
- Be positive!
What I will give in return:
- 1 Plex for ten (10) days of having to deal with my questions!
I know this might seem kind of weird since there are so many online guides and help channels (which I do use sometimes) but I think it would be a lot more fun to be able to learn while doing it in game. Also yes I know there are probably people in EVE who are willing to help people for free but I feel awkward constantly bugging people about things that must seem so simple to them unless I am at least paying for their time! So I guess if you are interested you can mail me in game... or on here, I think the mail all goes to here anyways now oh well!
Also if you have any questions make sure to ask too! ... I hope I posted this in the right forum

You should really try to contact EVE University, they are very new player friendly and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of eve. |

I'm with Kiyirari on this too. EVE-U is the most respected and trustworthy corp I've seem in-game myself. And as she said, they have a wealth of information that you would learn from. You would also make some friends there and that would add to your gaming experience. EVE isn't a single players game, you need friends to stay interested and to possibly keep the dead times down..
You can also find me in game for any random question you need to ask. I have no issues helping newer players out.
Greetings

I have to agree with Kiyirari and Zordon here. EVE-U is a good starting point. You can also message me in game for answers to questions you may have.

@_@ So many people suggesting EVE university. I have been in EVE university on past accounts and I didn't really get much from it. I have been listening to their pre-recorded classes but I am not really good in large unfamiliar groups. I appreciate the advice though! Still looking for something that I think I would find easier and more enjoyable to learn from.
