Well, they eventually did it, CCP has gone batshit insane and they are planning to change wardec mechanics so A can wardec B and keep the war going on forever while paying the weekly bill even if the war is non-consensual.
I guess that if you are in a small non-pvp corp, or in a one-man corp, you can figure what could this mean for you and your friends if someone wardecced you just for griefing.

How is this different from current mechanics? As an Ex-Highsec-Wardec corp member, we used to run war decs as long as we wanted, as long as we paid the fee, and they didnt surrender. Whether it was mutual or not...

Enlighten me, how is this different from the current mechanic? Appears me that the only downside is that the aggressor just has to pay a bit more than currently to keep it going.

That part of the war dec is not changed. There was never a limit on how long a war could be extended.

The idea of this is that you would shoot them back. This isn't minecraft and it isn't warcraft. EVE is a high risk/reward game. You WILL lose ships, and so will everyone else.

I kind of don't agree on this one. In war you don't declare war on someone and then ask "Is that ok?". You declare war and start killing for as long as you can or feel like.

My idea of ending an unwanted war implies assassination. Regretfully, EVE is a ***** game and you can't murder anyone even if they are out of their pod.
