I prefer dogs, don't really like cats. But sadly I'm allergic.

I hate cats, and in return they love me
Dogs are friendly and a great source of amusement when they do dumb things.
Cats drag in dead mice, I really prefer a doggy bringing me tennisballs then a cat that drags in dead animals as 'gifts'

lol, I prefer dogs. Cats are just to manipulative for me. People don't keep cats, cats keep people.
Whats more, they KNOW who don't like them, and they make a conscious effort to go and sit on that persons lap just to **** them off. If it was anything but a cat, you know you would move it, but its a cat, you try and move it you're going to lose some something, probably a chunk of flesh :p
I dont actually mind a cat, but I know that in the cat-human relationship, its not the human thats the master. I don't like the idea of being kept by a cat :p

In the past i would have said dogs as i've had one since i was a kid. But after my old girl died we got two kitties and they are the sweetest things. Oh and you can leave them alone whilst out at work and not come home to a house that has been destroyed by a bored dog!

hehe, huskies are fun. Just let it off the lead and watch it run... and run... and run... and run...
My cousin has a husky, they're so much hard work tbh, they need a lot of exercise.
On the plus side, you can strap them to a sled and go whizzing around in the snow

Dogs for me. I have a labrador cross and he's really well behaved.
Cats are cool too but I get really itchy eyes with them around so I'll stick with the pooch.

LOL! That's so true. Still, I love cats, despite their blatant Ebilness  .
I don't mind being their Human...except when they open the door  to my room and jump on my bed at about 6 AM, scaring the hell out of me (Its a BIG cat, being its Landing Zone isn't nice ) and start whining/meowing for food and they refuse to p1ss off 'till they get it. Bastards . Luckily they dont pick me too often as the intended target of their terrorist attacks .

Bah, dogs smell and drool etc  hate that... Luckily our cats have no idea how to catch mice, and probably dont know what a mouse is in the first place .

hehe, yeah, thats the other pain about them. When I was still in school (not so very long ago), I had a friend who came into class every morning with fresh claw marks across his face because he didn't wake up before the cat did, and the cat wanted feeding. Mind you, his cat was proper evil, it didn't bring mice home as presents, it butchered whole mouse civilizations, couldn't eat them all so just left them where they lay. Not to mention the birds, the hedgehogs (I kid you not) and any other cat that got near the thing got a smack as well.
Oh, and my prefered dog would be a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, since they're huge fluffy polar bears, and I'm just a big softy really

There's a reason dogs are called mans best friend. Cats are clean, have a bad temper and pretty much go their own ways while dogs can be taught tricks and funny stuff and are in most cases defensive and loyal to the people that feed and train them :)
I'd choose a cat erh.. dog over a cat as my mom is allergic to them and, and a cat would keep her away.

As much as I love dogs though, they are pretty dumb, cats know exactly what they are doing and they are very low maintenance - u ever had to walk a cat??
