It's time for me to go to bed but before I do, there is one thing I must know.
How much is it in ú a month if you pay for eve by credit card monthly transactions? Not gtc's, where a month of playing time gets taken out of your credit card, the equivalent of it's value in ú
What is this price? |

It will cost you more if you pay by credit card than game time card.
They said something about exchange rates blah blah, but the plain fact it - if you want to play for cheap - go buy some game time cards rather than put normal credit card payment, unless if your address registration is USA and pay in $. If you pay in pounds or euro - go for time cards
Don't ask, why CCP charge EU players more than US players, no1 will be able to answer =) |

The legality of paying with USD-purchased GTCs as an EU customer is debatable, with the "financial blame" being even less clear (the GTC retailer or the EU customer).
Bottom line, if you pay for 1 whole year, it's about on par.
If you pay for 6 months, difference is small but manageable.
If you want to pay monthly, you're better off with GTCs.

No you are right and thats how it goes.
After all, if you buy Individual Chocolate Bars they are more expensive overall than buying OVER 9000 via wholesale.

Wow, the question has only been answered about 30,000 times.
VAT., EU rules (go live somewhere else or withdraw from the EU if you don't like it). And the crappy state of the USD of late. CCP initially made both the euro and USD prices roughly the same (EU price slightly more because CCP are forced to collect VAT on your behalf). The USD fell, and most of CCP's expenses did not (as they're not in USD) and so they got less money from that. If they put up the USD price, they **** off 1/3 of their playerbase and probably lose more than they gain. If they drop the euro price, they lose even more money. So alot of Euro players used to buy GTCs and bypass the VAT they were supposed to then pay themselves, technically, and deny CCP income (not only less by paying less, but also less as CCP sold GTCs to retailers for less than their face value for commission. Thus the increase in GTC cost to cover commission in the RRP, giving CCP the same amount if you pay via GTC or CC in USD, at least. And a disincentive for euro players to pay via GTC as much. |

here in australia we pay by USD, surely there must be a better way for evryone?? including the euro market :)
