Edited by: Jurietto on 01/10/2008 00:54:23 I've been getting an error while patching to the Tranquility Server. I'm running on a fresh install (build 61817, I downloaded the client yesterday) and I've tried patching with the patch off the website, and using the ingame patch downloader.
This is the error I receive during the patching process at [20 of 59] in evepremiumpatch61817-64311.exe.
Quote: An Error Occured: Patching Error in the file bin\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe. The specific file did not have the correct CRC. This indicates that your installation is corrupt. Please reinstall EVE-Online.
What the hell is wrong?
Another solution someone has mention is if I delete the DirectX folder, it has this error.
Quote: An Error Occured: Patching Error in the file bin\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe. The specified file was not found. This indicates that your installation is corrupt. Please reinstall EVE-Online.
Can someone please help me, I just want to get what I paid for, and play the damn game.

Welcome to CCP patching...
I have the same problem, it totally sucks to have to deal with such issues on a premium game like Eve Online tbh.
I'm downloading the updated full game to see if that works, if not, I'm going to petition for a refund since I just re-activated my account and cannot use it.

I didn't have this problem but it sounds like it could be a problem with DirectX from Microsoft.
Might be worth updating DirectX and trying update again. You can get it from Microsoft
Or easier from a third party such as http://www.tucows.com/preview/194328
Good luck!

I doubt it. I downloaded the full version and it installed an ran fine. The problem seems limited to the patch it would seem.
This happened under Windows x64 in case its of any value to anyone.
