I am interested in getting to Jove space, is there any way that is proven to work? If not, is there any possible (Untried) ways to do it?
Thanks for your time.

You don't. Of course there are theoretical ways for you to get there which involve serious EULA breaches so I'm not going to detail them.
Essentially there is no way to get there without transferring yourself there (read: teleport) and to do that you must be in a Polaris frigate which can only be operated with skills that don't exist in the game.
So, don't try and estimate a direction from the closest system and MWD for days. I'm not saying that just to try to hide something awesome from you. Honest.

Someone did once manage to reach jove space with the 'you are here' on the map by using an old bug/feature with scan probes. However, they still registered as being in the system they set out from as they hadn't actually jumped into the jove system (systems have no limit on size IIRC, the system you are in is only changed by a jumpgate or being moved by a GM, if you fly a far enough distance for the map to register as another system, it still displays the system you actually jumped into) This is not part of my sig.

He might be referring to back when a group of people kept trying to reach the beautiful EvE Gate but it proved useless because it was just a background image in the system not reachable. Got it in one. At one point in time, there was a group of players who everyday would leave a bookmark in a public anchored can to the farthest can, and go farther and farther every day. Until eventually someone deleted the bookmark and ruined their fun.

There are player corporations which are listed as having offices in Jove space.
It's usually possible to reach any station your corporation owns an office in by transferring your medical clone contract there, but presumably that isn't possible for offices in Jove space.
Maybe someone who knows would care to comment? |

PVP tournament you get teleported there. Back in the day some jokers docked and rented offices during the tournament, and even set clones there.

I never bothered calculating the DPS you'd need to get through its shields, but... it'd be a lot.

You can of course showinfo them if you have the item id. The game knows about them.
But you can't get the skillbook via ingame means. And even if you managed to pull it off due to some bug, you can't train them. All the GM/Dev skill have themselves as prerequirements, so they can only be "trained" via setting them directly in the database.

It was possible in the past to get to Jove space.
Some NPC corps had offices there, so folks that wanted to look set their clone to Jove space and self podded......
I did not go myself, but I was told there was nothing there of any interest, which actually makes sense. There is no real life money for CCP in developing Jove space for play until they open it up to the players.

I wonder if when CCP are advertising for staff, one of the job perks listed in the bonuses on the advert is "Access to Jove space"
It's like Willy Wonkas factory, who knows what wonders there are to behold within it's territory?
Prototype experimental ships?, strange modules?, Everlasting beers?
Oomplaloompas come from Jove space. It's a fact.

Not really. Sentries actually have to acquire lock and fire a couple of volleys first.
I posted a comment on our killboard when a sentry gun killed one of my pilots - I commented as 'Caldari Sentry Gun II'
He was completely confused and thought that the NPC sentry gun was taunting him, and I told him that the DEV's can assume control of NPC ships/and sentry guns and destroy your ship.
He almost petitioned it....
Epic troll is epic.
Nicely done.

Getting to jove space used to be possible, I once had a character there back in the early days of the game. CCP left clone station selections in jove space so you simple set your clone to a jove station killed yourself and wake up in jove space.
There wasnt much to see, nothing on the market, no asteroid belts spawned, no rats, no agents etc. So while you could go ooooh jove station that was about all you could do.
CCP soon sorted this bug out.

If you really want to get podded by a GM or CCP employee,or just try your luck against one of those polaris frigs or the other ones that have eleventy billion hp,why not just hop on Sisi? They are more often than not on there zooming around keeping an eye on things.Give good gang bonus when they decide to fleet up too =) |

I bet there's a gigantic fleet of Jove Titans out there somewhere. __________________ RIP Toonami. 1997-2008. |

To bad, I wanted to see Jove, and get podded by a dev.
Loads of people get podded every day by devs. Most think it's just lag that caused the freezing effect and their ship and pod to just vanish in a fleet battle.

I do remember a long time ago that you could actually get to Jove space via your clone. Apparently you could actually set your clone respawn station for one in Jove space.
THAT little loophole has been plugged tho...

Yeah, back in the early days, you could set your clone to any station that had a cloning service. So, um, "folks" would set their medical clone to a station in jove space and pod themselves there.
The space was empty and hadn't been populated with anything other than stations, so there wasn't much reason to go, and CCP finally got fairly unhappy with having to move players back.
And that's the origon of the limitations you see today on what station you can install your medical clone in.

I guess they are saving the Joves for the future, when the playerbase is so powerful in general (200 mill SP anyone??) and needs to apply something powerful!
