As the title states in the next few weeks 2008 fanfest starts which i will attend as usual but this time its my last and hopefully will bring my life in Eve to a dramatic/drunken end.
Firstly i would like to say to everyone its been my pleasure to meet ingame a final goodbye, theres so many of you i cant say goodbye personnally im sorry maybe over the next few weeks ill get a chance.
Over 4 years in game i have seen many ups and downs - a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions, which brings me onto thanking the game creators for bringing a oppotunity to play a game of this nature absolutely 'epic'
To all the GM's and Devs of old i have interacted with 'goodbye and thankyou' if you guys are still around.
and anyone who replys 'can i have your stuff' the answer is no, nothing i have was a gift it was all worked for, so go out and earn it.
So with a heavy heart i will move on but not without getting completely drunk at fanfest and raising a glass to everyone.

Seriously though, you really will be sorely missed, it has been my sincere priviledge to fly alongside you and shoot things with you, to meet you and your wife, and to generally meet a genuinely nice guy who I consider a true friend.

All goodbys get moved here unfortunately. Not much you can do about that.
Other then that. I must say goodby to yet another pilot who delved into this universe before me. I hate to see vets leave even if I never new them in game. I would rather see them stay.
Oh well, I wish you luck and good tidings.

I dont know why 'Goobyes' get moved here tbh its the wrong area imo - this part of the forum is to discuss non-Eve related topics and 'Eve general' is for discussion re Eve online
Just a purile attempt at control, preventing me from saying goodbye to players i know frequent the eve general discussion, hey ho suppose ill have to take tme out and eve mail everyone in my address book lol,

Yeah it sucks, but I bet it has something to do with all the rage quit threads that turn to flame wars. I guess the mods decided that quit threads were the easy ones to justify a move to releave GD of those flame threads. I would bet their rationale is that since the players are leaving the game then they are technically out of pod at that point.
Well I hope your people find this thread

Hey Nere. Not seen ya in ages, mostly cos I took a long break myself, and just come back. I hope you come back aswell because you are an ace pilot and an accet to which ever corp you are with.

I had the fanfest booked at the 1st oppotunity, cant get a refund so i thought 'what the hell' might as well get drunk shake hands of some of the GM's/Devs i get along with and meet others i know in game in person :)
As for the cool stuff last year sat through a Ambulation package which was pretty but still not ingame yet but tbh id rather CCP spend money and time on current game issues rather than nice pretty eye candy, so yeah cool stuff is nice, Iceland is a nice place with some nice people living there (its not all Eve related)
And as i said above i would like to go out with some nice memories rather than remember the issues that caused me to decide to leave

Well what can i say but thanks again for all the well wishers - the harressment i got by texts, Msn, phone calls and ingame mails PM's and invites to friends of (insert name here) channels from everyone

Exactly what Lisa said - i have now been promoted back to the bed and off the sofa :) cya on the trip to Iceland impy u He-man and example of all that is manly - u big stud take me too bed and lose me forever :)
