Edited by: Sicori Malaki on 21/06/2004 19:48:02 I prefer to listen to techno and rock or any fast pased music, while I'm doing combat, or combat related such as agent running.
and some slow music like Enya or concerts, and symphony's when mining.
what about you?, what kinda music do you play while in eve?

I'm mostly into 'Zlad' his melodic fusion combining hot disco rhythms with cold war rhetoric really set the mood for a good game of eve. Click here for one of his video clips.

I listen to all kinds... techno, rock, punk, rap, metal... whatever happens to be next on my playlist. But in fleet combat I always play the same song, and it'll be featured in my next video =)

Radio One Essential Mixes. More specifically anything from John Digweed. Even more specifically KISS 100 John Digweed Sets.
This provides me hours and hours of peaceful bliss.

that is either 1) the funniest thing I've ever seen if they're attempting to be funny 2) the scariest thing i've ever seen if they're attempting to be serious...

Like Xelios I use to have a certain song I always start before engaging in combat, which is currently the Kill Bill pan-flute thing since december. Before this it was Gasaraki, Message #9. Apart from that, I hear what the playlist brings.

if you don't wake up, i'll have to stop kissing you. all that flailing has made you sleepy. you rest while i untie you. stay here until they find you. My hand made mannequin. i won't let them get you. they'll know you're mine by the fingerprints on your throat. isn't she lovely? isn't she wonderful? like the *****s that we are, swatting flies from the wounds we design. |

Depends on the night, the mood, and what I'm doing.
Some nights where I'm running cargo and watching a lot of warp tunnel and scenery go by... Motorhead's an old favorite. As is Tool.
For mining, dependent on mood... usually Reggae or Classical. Especially Gustav Holst's Planets. And Mars also passes for a combat track.
For combat (which never, ever lasts long enough) or the nights when I just wanna rock out at the keyboard... industrial metal like Fear Factory / Rammstein / White Zombie... or good power metal like Iron Maiden, or Manowar.
That's just the tip of the iceberg, but that gives you an idea. ----------- Fighting for the ideals of freespace, posthuman ethics, and rock & roll. |

This is what I listen to:
-The Blackhawk Down Soundtrack (great for battle sequences) -Toccata and Fuege in D Minor, JS Bach (A good fast, powerful version, like the one Leapold did, is perfect) -5th Symphony, Lv Beethoven (Fast and strong is good) -Carmina Burana, Carl Orff (The famous choral piece) -Mars: The Bringer of War, Holst (Another classical classic) -The Russian Red Army Choir (Russians kick serious epic musical butt) -Battle in the Mutara Nebula, Star Trek 2, James Horner (Best Star Trek... Ever...) -A Knife In The Dark, Lord of the Rings: FOTR, Howard Shore (New Classic) -Theme from HALO, O'Donnell/Salvatori Total Audio (Nice pace with a good mix of new and old) -Navy Seals Theme, The Rock, Hans Zimmer (It was a damn good piece, except now when I hear it all the time in the PotC movie) -Klendathu Drop, Starship Troopers, Basil Poledouris (Dramatic and noble, unlike the movie) -Countless Gregorian Chants (Good for those pauses inbetween) -Many Carlos Montoya Flamencos (A little Spanish guitar can add a heart beat to many situations) -The Hitman 2 soundtrack (Some good bits in it as well. Good for battles and sneaking around) -The 13th Warrior Soundtrack (Some good epic stuff, though it boarders on fantasy than piratey. -The Abyss Ending Credits (Decent space flight music) -The Ronin Myth, Ronin (A good dark piece, boarders on Japanese, but can be translated easily to space conflict) -The Rapor Attack, Jurassic Park (A great battle song, evil and sneaky)
The son turns against the father. The chess board is set. One last game. |

Silence is good. Very appropriate :-)
When I'm in the mood for noise, Mahler's Symphony No. 2 is a current favorite.
