Can you add some extra functions to the Corp War options like ceasefire, end of conflict (rather than surrender),
Would be useful for wars that stop for other reasons than anihilation. . .

you would think they could get this info from the games database. Run a querry on what ever field or fields that hold wether a corp is at war with another. |

This is undoubtedly a search for people involved in corporate wars to generate PR-material. Interviews and such... things to promote the style of play that the Eve developers are hoping will occur.

Looking at the database would only tell you who has declared war not who is really fighting in one.
From the looks of it...no one is :(

Xtinction is actively at war with Critical Mass Enterprises.
Though Omega has also declared war on us, there has been no activity as of late between our two corporations.

Pann,
There is a lot of wars going on "under the radar" so to speak. The reason being is that the "war system" is a bit unflexible. For instance, if your a mercenary corp (like the OEC), you dont declare war on your target corporations for your clients. That will just lock you in for reprocussions in high security space...and it is up to them to end it, since you wouldnt want to if your 'winning'.
Maybe I don't understand the war system in Eve...or someone can give me some pointers, but it seems to have no benefits that I can see.

Only thing it lets you do is fight in high sec space. But like you said once the merc work is over .....then what?
An option that would be nice for us mercs is a piggyback war dec. We could declair war with an enemy corp as a merc corp of someone already at war. Once our contract is over we could back out of the war....if the other ( enemy) corp accepts ( not a surrender) if not we are locked in.
In general there needs to be more options on how a war is ended then just surrender.
