Welcome Everyone,
http://Bid.E-Eve.com
The Eve Auction Board http://Bid.E-Eve.com was created for you all to use to make a Simple, Fair and Effective arena for Eve Auctions.
This will allow for Feedback on those you are buying from so that you have a good feeling who you are dealing with. The Eve Auction Board allows for Realtime tracking of the winner. You can Set Reserves, Bid increments and Minimum bids. You can upload photos of the Items you wish to sell (so the person buying knows what they are bidding on)
Everyone can place their own auction for Free (Free Service for the community to use). This will help people sell the good they want to get rid of.
THIS BOARD IS FOR ISK SALES ONLY, ANY AUCTIONS FOR RL MONEY WILL BE DELETED AS THIS IS AGAINST THE EULA.

Great initiative. 
I think this post should be a sticky up there with EVE Marketplace, so it gets a chance to get a good amount of users to keep it going.

Love these sites, remember being a true addict of selling loot and rares in UO on the sistersite there.
Anyway, i ut up a first auction of the top of my head. If the site fill up a bit I'll add the rest of the items i have for sale. Should add up to about 50-100 pieces. (might make some lot and dutch auctions for em).

Thought of one or two things.
add to the description (like I forgot):
- if to be traded thru escrow: location of item/escrow
It would also be nice when the list of auctinions under for example "rare items" wold show wether or not it is a dutch auction, or the number of items in teh auction.

I have a Question, when during registration we enter our character names, unfortunately atn My char name is displayed as Shannar\\\'a
This is without doubt a brilliant site, hope you can fix this minor glitch later.

Can you remove my dutch auction for 2 425mm medium projectiles please ?
I stands to run out in 5 hours but it's either been griefed by fake bids or someone has not notice that i've TWICE acknowledged (in title and in description) that these are medium projectile guns and not large rails.
My set reserve of 2 mill each was already not too low, but the current bids of 22 million are ridiculous.
I've used your site to message the highest bidder to remind him this ar not rails, so unless he really wants to pay me 44 million for two medium guns I will consider the auction void.
IF he intends to pay this sum, I'll throw in two free 425mm PROJECTILE scouts for his nice little offer

This is exploit prone.
The items have to be secured.
The bids have to be real.
you cant believe every bid.
I will not use this unless every bid is drawn out of each highest bidders wallet at the time it was bid. If you are out bidded the money would be replaced. The items should have to be real. Soo it would have to be tied to an escrow.

Perhaps making you register your username in-game might help with the trust issue (Although i remember that no-one used the old eve-auction site after they implimented that ).
Anyway why not sticky this instead of Eve-Marketplace.com as the site seems to be dead now

just some notes
when someone clicks on my user name (i.e FZ)
he should be able to see my ingame nick (i.e FZappa)
under no reason should i have access to a user email adress
(which i just did , and im currently not sure whatever
the mail i got was from the website owner or the guy
who put the auction up)
my USER name should never be visible on the website , only
my ingame nick (which is needed for everthing) .
"Contact with" link should have ingame nick (again)
auction history is a must , i want to know which auctions
i won and which ones i didnt get the item yet .

Thanks for your feedback, I am making some changes as we speak to
address some of the things you mentioned.
1. For the username suggestion.... It is actually setup to only show your nickname (and hide the username) It sounds like you may have your Nickname not you character name in the wrong place, If you edit your details you should set you FZ to FZappa and then this is what people will see.
2. I am rewriting the email script to state that the email sent was an autogenerated email- this way people winning the auction will know that the email came from the server and not the poster. But it will give you the posters nickname so you can contact them ingame.
3. Auction history is there, but only if you bookmarked the auction (as I remove closed auctions from the home list to keep clutter down). To fix the problem you mentioned I will now include a link to the auction you won in the auto generated email.
4. There is a Auction History, You can view the the bids... It is a link in the top left of each auction.
5. I think I cleaned out refrences to other peoples email address. If you see anywhere left please let me know

The problem I have with the board is that it's like escrow, swamped by hundreds of fking bpc's no-one wants, and crappy equipment.
The few decent auctions are hidden under the crap( and there are few sadly)

Hi,
I am working on a proxy Bid system.. (hope to have it working by this weekend) That way you can set your max bid and the auction board will automatically outbid people by the minumum. This proxy system will continue to do so until it hits your max bid threshold.... I hope people will find this useful when I am done coding it :)

I am working on a proxy Bid system.. (hope to have it working by this weekend) That way you can set your max bid and the auction board will automatically outbid people by the minumum. This proxy system will continue to do so until it hits your max bid threshold.... I hope people will find this useful when I am done coding it :)

But PLEASE add some sniper-code: An auction should end once it expires OR 15 minutes after last bid, whichever is latest...
Should be a fairly simple change.

cant seem to edit user name / ingame name .
both these values are not ediable in the edit

Well, I've stopped selling items at the site until some anti-sniper-stuff is implemented...
Every auction is won at a low price by the guy who is best at bidding 2 secs. before the auction expires - needless to say, that noone want's to bid before that time, because that would just prevent them from sniping the highest bidder...

Before I go into a rewite, Would a Sniper bid system or a Proxy Bid system be better?
Sniper meaning 15 min extensions
Proxy meaning You set the max you will pay, and the Auction auto bids for you via mininum incraments up to your max Limit.
Feedback on this is appreceated before I code them :)

For input, I'd say code both a proxy bidding and snipe bidding system. It will provide the best of both worlds and bring a sense of security to people not able to be at their computer 24/7.

It would be best if people also put a link in these forums to their auction, than the board can keep track of all the bidding. This way people will know you are selling and they can keep track of all the bids :)
