I would like to see the big NPC corp running mining ops, the point is, NPC pirates are the wrong ones with the mining lasers there! People should really understand that it IS funny that even NPC pirates have to mine, if you were a pirate you would understand it. I guess.

Quote: I guess you had a very boring time in germany if all you could say to the german girls was:"can i have a beer?" Probably you had too much beer due to your problems to communicate???
You'd be suprised how far "can i have a beer" will get you with a German girl... I know I was.

Quote: I know you love mining, your Apoc helps you doing it, so are you low according to what Lifewire said? No. Why not? Because mining isn't low, mining pirates are low. I love people who take jokes so serious even that they were written in their first language.
it's not precisely the language thing. i've known plenty of people over the internet that typed HORRIBLE English, but were quite nice to chat with, even if they had a viewpoint differing from my own. Lifewire, on the other hand... well. he's not pleasant. at all. he's abrasive and close-minded, and really likes to ramble on in a way that tends to bring to mind a small, angry, yapping dog that won't stfu. i've had differences with him before in other threads, and i suppose i was carrying over a bit of that resentment over to my reply in this one. Lifewire has been known for scoffing at those that don't fight often, so it was easy to read that into what he said.
his sarcastic comments about turning sentries into giant uber mining lasers reinforced this...

as for npc pirates mining, it's not low. it's necessary. player pirates have alts they can do empire business with. pirate faction corps have no such luxury. they must build their ships on their own. many of their ship designs aren't even made by anyone other than themselves. even if it isn't strictly necessary due to game mechanics, as npcs have unlimited supplies of ships, etc., it makes perfect RP sense that they would need to have their own mining ops, although i do agree that there needs to be "friendly" npc mining ops as well, run by npc corps.

as i said, my real issue with Lifewire really isn't about his use of English. he's just so careless with it that it amplifies his already irritating personality. he's a jerk. *shrugs*
as i also said, i've known plenty of people that were just fine to talk with even if they didn't type or speak very good English.
that aside, i'm pretty damned sure that if Lifewire had grown up in the U.K. or U.S. instead of Germany, he'd still annoy the **** out me and almost everyone in the threads he posts in.
he's a yelping smacktalker with the intense need to puff out his chest as frequently as possible, whilst spouting trollish nonsense. i dare anyone to look up his last 15 posts here and all his posts on eve-i, and try to read through them. i practically guarantee you'll bleed from your eyes after about thirty or so.

Yeah it would be cool to run into other npc corp's doing things...Like a caldari navy group fighting a guristas spawn in a belt, and you could join whichever side you like better. -------

Miners: people that earn money with mining. Traders: poeple that earn money with trading. Pirates: NOT people that earn money with mining.
Comprende now?
Imagine a pirate in the spanish main anno 1700 working on a tabacco plantage? Ok, and now understand please that it¦s FUNNY to see them mining in EVE.
And no, i don¦t run mad spotting an ark roid.

where do npc pirate ships come from then? some are of designs only they make. npc pirates are really private armies. every army needs an industrial backbone supporting it with equipment. the pirate fighters don't mine, but why shouldn't there be miners that work for those pirate corporations?

They steal what they need. That¦s why they are NPC-pirates and not NPC-miners. Actually if we player-pirates hire miners, we don¦t let the rest of the EVE-world know that they work for us
Again: i have no prob with this "feature" - but it¦s simply funny that CCP has to make the NPC-rats go mining. Ironic feature.

I think its just because you only get NPC pirate factions out in 0.0 and in empire your not going to attack empire faction mining ops and get blown to kingdom come by concorde.
Pirates want ISK, and if they can mine 100 mill of ark in a few hrs to get their next BS their gonna do it :P
Gives more life to the EVE universe and adds abit of variety imho.

I agree with Lifewire. Having only the pirate NPC factions out mining is silly. And I'm guessing it isn't even the production corporations in the pirate factions, like True Creations and Salvation Angels, there's out mining but their millitary corps?

i dunno, Lifewire. consider this: every time you look up a rat's description, what does it say? it says it's protecting the interests of its corporation. if they attack us in belts, they must be interested in mining the ore for themselves...
so there.
