I was looking at trailers of eve and noticed hangars in ships, i though maybe ships can dock to other ships, but i never saw that, not in eve, not in vids. so i was wondering, is it really possible to dock to a ship and use it as a station(installing stuff, containing your own cargo, etc.)? one last thing, if i can then would you mind telling me what kind of ships can have a hangar and how much ships they can handle, thx in advance.

Carriers, Motherships, and Titans have hangar bays. You can approach them and pop ships into/out of the hangar if you have the appropriate rights. Putting a ship into the bay leaves your pod in space. With the correct rights you can also access the corporation hangars on these ships and use their fitting services.

EVE is very unrealistic, Hence: Sci-fiction, its not a space sim.
the logical thing would be to be able to dock even 1000s of people on yout titan. but u cant even have one. no room.
I wounder why though, how bad is it to implement it?

If I remember correctly, some ships were originally designed to launch their drones from a drone bay visible on the ship. However, this feature was scrapped, just like the "all fitted modules are visible on the ship" idea.

Ya, the megathron has a visible drone bay that it never uses.

So you can't really dock... like a station?
I wish you could, that'd be cool. and hilarious if a Titan with tons of ships inside (and players) was destroyed. Ahhh, the risks of EvE.

Right up to the point that the Titan pilot logged off...  Wouldn't you love to wait until he came back in so you could play again?

A type of ship that can hold other ships inside of it. Like all the EvE capital ships with a hangar bay.

Perhaps that's a reason for some, but it is imo. a very bad one. It would simply be a matter of ejecting everyone who was docked at the time.
A more practical reason would be .. theres just isn't enough time to implement everything we imagine it should be :P
