I have been a citizen of EvE for quite some time.
Problem is You cannot find ANY reasonable (time frame) free slot for ME research.
I mean 7 days wait for a 30 days ME research is reasonble
But 28 days wait for a 5 days research is not 
And yes I do include some 0.0 (or below 0.5) stations.
Is this reasonable ?
Is there another solution than using a POS ? (I`m currently a freelancer so it is not an option)
If you build your own corp , do you get a priority in lab facitlities ? (beleive the answer is not but please correct me if I`m wrong)

You wait, or get a POS, or rent POS Lab slots...think that's your options..

The only way to get faster lab access without setting up your own POS would be to join/create a corp in a research alliance such as New Dawn Reseach, from there you can research your BP's quickly and safely.

Or you can join Bring Me Sunshine and use their slots without having to create your own corp.
With this corp you have lower costs than New Dawn Research because you don't have to pay for corp creation, office rental or membership. On top of that, because Bring Me Sunshine is a member of the ZZZ alliance you can make use of ZZZ facilities too.
If you were willing to create your own corp, joining ZZZ is an excellent choice. Once you have a corp and an office your only fees would be slot rental.
If you are not interested in joining a corp, creating a corp or joining an alliance then your best remaining option is to contract your research to a third party. I can carry out your ME research for you and return your BPOs fully researched, or if you are unhappy with parting with your BPOs I can provide fully researched ones to you for a reasonable price.
Ultimately, there are many options available to you, NPC slots are just the worst of them.

I can recommend joining Bring Me Sunshine m8. Easy, quick, not expensive and straight to the point.
