I logged on to EVE just now and I looked at everything and I thought "Well, what shall I train now?"
And it dawned on me, there is nothing I want in EVE. I don't want to fly a mothership and I'm not interested in fleet combat so there is literally nothing left to aim for anymore, no personal goal to achieve and nothing to work towards. I don't want to sit in a huge hulking weapon of mass destruction, I want to be in something small but show me a small ship that isn't outclassed by a larger ship in every useful way other than cost? A small ship that can do something that a larger ship cannot do? Even the covert ops have been outdone now.
Is there anything left for me other than simply leaving?
I don't want to leave, don't get me the wrong way. I just can't motivate myself with nothing to work for.

Not sure what to say other then take a break and come back when the bug bites. If you do see you when you get back. If you decide to leave for good hook a brother up  Hope you stay though.

I find I am not really in the game for anything other then the fun I have with some of my corp memebers. Other then that. . .its all insignificant.

I'm basically in the same boat, around because of the weight of the investment (by which I mean time and friends more than money). Could take a vacation for a while and return later, I do that all the time, or start fooling around with smaller ships and just do it for the cowbell.

Covert ops? What replaces Covert ops? Force recons don't have the agility, warp speed, or scan bonus to be good spies/trackers.
Interceptors.
Electronic attack frigs are cheaper and much faster than cruiser-class EW platforms making it harder to just run up and pop them. They're getting even faster with the nanonerf too
Stealth bombers can move around fast while cloaked, are hard to lock back, and have great alpha for their size. A gang of SBs is quite a nasty thing.
Afs are getting boosted soon with the nanonerf
With their warp speed and agility, a fleet of small ships can outmaneuver a fleet of bigger ships quite easily.
Try some of those.
