from the most recent CSM:
TomB > redwolf: we have not changed the ore distribution in the world for over almost 10? months
k, i don't think i need to say anything more. that speaks for itself.

okay, maybe i do need to explain... how disappointing.
or do you just go around saying "your point is?" to everyone's posts?
TomB is notorius for making ludicrous statements completely contrary to common knowledge. of COURSE ore distribution has changed in the past 10 months! ores have been moved about, different ores have been localized to specific locations, etc. i find it disturbing that a lead Dev like TomB seems to know so little about the game he's supposed to helping to make...

Yea weird but anyway each of us use to be a bit out of his head not one time:).
We had bistot 1 jump from station in Outer Ring before Castor :(

I'd honestly be less dissapointed if TomB said he smoked a bowl of ***** just before the CSM than admit to being sober at the time

Did you consider he was talking about the mechanics of ore distribution rather then whee what ores are ?
The code for the regional ore distribution might have been in long before castor, with Castor just shifting stuff around but not changing the mechanics ?
I still don't believe it myself, unless november, october, september and august come after december in Iceland.

i read it several times, and i just couldn't rationalize why he would say it, even trying to stretch the meaning to his words. it's bizarre.
i've personally seen both ore amounts and types shift back and forth all over the place in empire space since ten months ago, as well as heard from pilots in 0.0 about how ores out there have shifted around now and then as changes were made.

Strange, i did found enough ark in Stain. However not in same system as there is a station, but thats nowhere in this game.

Maybe he got got it mixed up with that change of the system security 10 months ago, that also changed the ores... but saying that the ores distro hasn't changed is bull.
