As the minister of Industry in Iceland said. 'The USA gave us the finger'. Now we can see who is a friend in need. I welcome the Russian overlords. May death come quickly to their enemies!
Even the entire world starts to see the US as... well the world. Gee thanks.
And not pretending to know the details on the story, i do remember hearing word of the EU being open to assistance to Iceland as well. For the russians going 'we saved eve', get yourself sorted with some insight, CCP is one of the least affected companies out there, apart from its employees' private concerns.

The EU were a part of the cause of the problem. On Sunday night the government said that things would turn out alright, over the night the EU closed the doors on us and it was inevitable that this would happen. We now look to our friends in Scandinavia and Russia.

Because you seem to insist on the russians being your saviors. Looked into the easily available info - russia gave iceland a loan, granted a very nice and short-term injection. However, eventual guarantees of people's savings is prepped for by the EU, the ISK is now tied to the EUR. And 4 billion? For a nation the size of Russia that's pocketchange. The Dutch government has put 34 billion in a nationalization, the place is 300 km's across...

One too serious to notice the comedy side of Russia being our 'saviors'. And unless you are located in Iceland I do believe you are in no position to being a self proclaimed expert on our issues.

Pretty much everyone has grown today by pledging the income of tomorrow. That is the thing we all do all the time in various little ways. The problem is taking it so far that you can barely service the interest and have no hope of paying down the principal. Many countries, companies and individuals have been in that position for years, surviving on the hope than no-one would call "time" just one more year...
By the way, if things got tough here I could head over to Iceland and interpret for the Russian overlords (into English) provided I was paid in CHF. EVE has a diverse player base and I am sure the Icelandic government could cut a few deals if it was desperate.

And this just in... AP is reporting that as a condition of it's loan to Iceland, Russia is demanding that Icelandic MMO game company CCP place shirtless photos of Vladimir Putin on Concord billboards throughout New Eden.

ôItÆs just incredible ù the nerve! ù to suggest that heÆs not part of that Republican herd. Every time we hear it, all my children and I and all my family shrink a little and say, æOh, my God, he said it again.Æ ö
