A corpie and myself have been fleeting L4 missions for the sake of speed for a while and Ive noted that I haven't had a storyline from the agent (we use the same one), even though Ive been fleeted and submitted for more than 16 missions.
not sure of the mechanics on this one? Should I get offered one if fleeted submissions from someone else are part of my transacted missions? . . 8/ everyone |

As for as I know you get some of the bounty and reward/LP as fleetmember, but the mission counts ONLY for the taker of it, not for the members. So you need to "take" the 16 missions (same faction, same level) by your own . That's my experience of it, wondered by myself...

Here's the exact rule: A character will receive a storyline mission after completing 16 missions of the same level for a single faction. It does not matter which corporation's agents are used, provided they are all in the same faction.
"Completing" a mission is available only for the character who accepted the mission. Other characters in the fleet (or gang) may share in mission ISK, LPs, agent standing increases, and agent's corporation standing increases, but in no instances do they receive faction standing increases or credit for "completing" a mission.
The storyline mission Evemail is sent within the same game mechanism which awards bounties. These means that like bounties, the character may complete the 16th mission and then after several minutes receive the storyline mission Evemail from the storyline agent. The storyline agent used is the nearest one at the time the 16th mission is completed. (Technical aside: I wonder if it is the nearest one to the character at the time the system sends the "important mission" Eve mail.)

As far as i know it the storyline agent closest to the standard agent used for the 16th mission.
My question is, is the 16 mission counter reset when you get the storyline offer, or when you complete the given storyline.
I.e. i've done my 16, get offered the 40k haul mish, but my indy is 8 jumps away. I do 4 more missions than afk to my indy, deliver the goods. Will i get my next storyline after 12 or 16 subsequent missions with my main agent?

The counter is reset when you are offered the storyline.

This is generally true, but I did notice an exception. I completed my 16th mission in Villore then got the storyline 3? jumps away (I forget the agent/system) rather than the storyline agent 1 jump away in Old Man Star. I figure they must put in some factor for crossing the high sec to low sec boundary.
