Greetings all,
I have been tasting the pirate life for a couple months and I can only say, I love this taste! The game mechanics allow controlled fights for 1vs1 and 1 vs many (in both low- and highsec), exactly the type of game I was after!
Most of the time, I take on bigger ships and older chars (I love this type of challenges which make me totally shake, hehe) and when the victims stay civilized and avoid trash-talking, I refund some of their costs. So far, I remain quite self-sufficient as I only drive frigates (as I don't really like bigger and (not necessarily) slower ships).
Now in some of my chats with my victims (who so far where always very respectful), they mention things such as killboards and I checked a couple of those but they are all different. So what is a main and popular board where I can put my scores on?
As I cannot commit to player controlled corps (lack of time), I am choosing the true solo-pirate way therefore I would like to move from my Minmatar NPC corp to one of those pirate NPC corps. However, I couldn't find any documentation on how to either run missions for Pirate NPC corps or to just be registered with them. Though, I see that they are active in both sovereignty and market transactions (or am I reading too much in to that data?)... Also, what are the benefits and consequences from being registered under one of those pirate NPC corps?
I like - and I expect that some people might differ from my opinion - to look for my fights in both high- and lowsec space. They all have their different challenges. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
With... hum... bloody regards,

No such thing as joining npc (pirate) corps. Only way to end up in an npc corp is by leaving your current player corporation, and that npc corp depends on your speciality and race.
I really recommend you to find a player corp that doesn't put requirements on your activity. In my own oppinion a good corp is what makes or breaks this game, no matter how much of a lone wolf you are.

Quoted for truth.
As soon as your outlaw status prohibits hisec entry you will be glad to have the logistics backbone of a corp that can get you the stuff you need.
Also the game experience itself is a much greater one when you have buddies you can fly with.
Welcome to piracy!

Edited by: Solomon XI on 11/10/2008 22:07:34 As far as a KB recommendation, I use Griefwatch for my personal killboard.
Also, I recommend that you do try to find a player-controlled-corporation that doesn't have too many requirements on activity levels. You should play to have fun and flying alongside like-minded people is what will either make/break this game for you.

I don't even play eve right now and I got myself promoted back to FC... (you just have to wait till I get drunk before I go and accept the FC spot )
But a corp of good people, no matter how much they **** everyone else off, is well worth it. I've only been in two corps that I could say I've felt like that about and I they gave me some crap about not being on, but they know that real life comes first...
as long as i remember to close my eyes and open my mouth for my welcome back present when I do return.... ------------
