Apart from the usual flashpoints, I don't think anyone will go to war over it. We're all in it together and we'll all have to get out of it together. I think a few governments are going to fall in the medium term though, especially when the recession really kicks in.

I was offensive towards Argentines? What the hell? and the US soldiers in Iraq are just doing their job. The American people have every right to honour their memory the way they do.

And the death toll of the locals is a LOT higher, and nobody seems to care. Isn't that a bit like vietnam all over again, only on a different map? I don't know, I'm too young.

We were hardly humiliated . . . a British warfleet, dogged with logistical problems [i.e. 1 Chinook in the whole operation after the cargo carrier was sunk], losing several ships, still managed to retake the island, performing the first hostile action by a nuclear submarine ever and crushing the Argentinians so badly that we basically forced a regime change. Also, 258 British service personnel died in the Falklands, I'd appreciate it if you showed them respect. They died on British crown territory, defending the freedom and sovereignty of the islands from the Argentinians. Anyway, all your Iceland are belong to us
