According to your shareholder report, 30M$ of 49M$ ofCCP's assets comes from 2007 bank loan issued by one of recently nationalized Iceland banks.
the question of uttermost importance is CCP, DID YOU TAKE THAT LOAN IN DOLLARS, OR ISK? :D

Don't matter much as their income is in dollars and euros... The will still be able to pay off their loans. The employees of CCP might be in trouble though, as they will be paying in ISK. Lets not hope they took out too many loans in euros or dollars...

Yeah, unless CCP gets nationalized as only icelandic company still making money:P
If the loan that composes of 70% of their entire worth (and quite possibly already spent on wages and hardware) is payable in ISK, then WTFLOLFREEMONEY. |

Loans from the troubled banks isn't that much of a big deal. The killer is if they have big deposits with them. If they had $50m in an Icelandic bank account, they may well be $50m out of pocket (income in dollars or euros or otherwise). Even from a no-doubt financially sound exporter like CCP, thats gonna smart. |

The problem is with people/entities not making payments on their loans. Customers who actually make their payments are a HOT commodity right now. There is nothing wrong with having a loan with a failing bank. The only issue is who will end up with the loan when the bank is taken over, and in this case it's the Icelandic government. They might even see their loan adjusted downwards as interest drops. The Icelandic government may do this across the board to make it easier for everyone to make their payments, thereby increasing liquidity. |
