BA joined FA, BA previously owned at least 2 of the 3 Querious stations.
Does this mean that CFS truly is dead?

Edited by: heavyg on 24/06/2004 10:31:56 Yes BA have Joined FA, BA still Control the stations though, for complete info, I am sure a statement from the Directors will be forthcomming. CFS is still active and alive from what i have seen.

if only that were true.
all it does is add to FA's hold of those regions. CFS is simply a puppet and a cusion in the event of an invasion or hostilities against them.

No no, I think it's pretty obvious
But anyway, Max is right - soon we shall see FA selling hunting passes for 'CFS space' (if they aren't already).

OK can someone please explain to the general populus the difernce between a corp (BA) and an alliance (CFS, FA).
BA is not a member of CFS and has not been for quite a while.
Please sort yourselfs out work out what you mean and then make coments, at a guess less than 10% of CORPS in querious are CFS members.

It has nothing to do with you being CFS or not it has to do with you now being FA and most stations in querious being controlled by you and the posssible implications of FA closing off the region.
0verkill Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean we aren't out to get you.

Edited by: Yodaron Ballsithor on 24/06/2004 16:58:17 Overkill, there are no plans to close Querious and require passes, etc., that I am aware of. The same holds true for Period Basis and Delve to my knowledge.
Edit: By the way, I am one of those Directors that HeavyG mentioned.

Still looks rather inconspicious
Looks like the CFS might have to relinquish their claim to the regions for a time.
Originally by: "Lallante" Does this mean that CFS truly is dead?
Quite thge opposite... You've been around for long enough to have witnissed the endless claims that the CFS was dead. Alliances can't be killed in any way.
Still funny how people jump to conclusions.... Mass psychology on the individual level maybe?

Ever since the first time I realized that alliances "controlled" 0.0 space I've admired the ideology of the CFS alliance and despised the Fountain Alliance in everything they do. I also have much disrespect for a corp such as Black Avatar who controls stations in a region "controlled" by an alliance they continually remind you they are not a part of, over and over and over and over, I understood the 23rd time that Black Avatar was not a CFS member. Being a neutral controlling stations in the Querious region is bad enough, but now being a member of Fountain in the Querious region enrages me and I wish I had more people on my side with my ideals.
Please keep in mind I said I admire CFS's ideals, I can neither confirm nor deny wether or not I admire the other aspects of the CFS alliance.
If I had like 20 more people with me that thought the same way I did, I'd show it to Black Avatar and Fountain in game instead of just posting it on the forums.

CFS is not dead it just reformed again ... i think but do not know ( i was in a corp who was a part of Cfs and helped fight. cfs was too much talk too many miners and too many builders. ( not enuff fighters )
so from what i understand they cut everyone out and just went with fighters and small group of miners / builders its not as big as it was b4.
I think they are still around doing what they do trying to keep the region clear of pirates / ca but i dunno ( dont flame me ingame i have no idea what goes on my comp is broke i carnt log in .. i just think too much. i agrea'd with some of there ideal's but too much was bogging them down. )

Hmm dont prejudge BA because they dont suit your ideals. We,ve always maintained we help to control the stations in querious so ppl can use the stations , unless you are a pirate . Control : to keep within bounds , to regulate .And no I didnt need a dictionary , there are different definitions to a word. Controlled , controlling . We have never refused any1 (cept pirates)access to the stations . If i,m honest I am not 100% behind this alliance I still have questions that need answering , but I aint gonna slate an idea before I know what I,m talking about. try it Dirtball you never know you may come to like the idea

Woahh an outsider knows how the line is written !! 100% right.
And an reply to above post "10% is CFS"... welll around 3BK 99% is CFS and 1% is BA... go figure ;)
Anyway, BA joined FA purely to keep their station because NON-CFS rumored a takeover.

I don't know exactly what you're asking me to try but during my short two week stint in Revolution we had a free station in Tribute, free to dock, no "we take" and I made a pretty good amount of friends by doing so, in just two weeks . So if you're saying I should try doing the station owning thing, I have and I disagree with your way of owning a station, friends > isk stations are a friend making device and not an isk making device in my opinion.
But I really don't know what you're asking me to try so think of the above as just a statement on Dirtballs ideals.

You can't kill an alliance, simple as that. Any sane person will tell you this.
But you can beat them into a bloody pulp so they no longer stand for the same ideals, crush their morale, and decimate their fleets.
CFS used to be the biggest alliance ingame, controlling the biggest piece of real estate ingame, doing pirate patrols 24/7, open to all law abiding citizens, and never negotiating with terrorists.
Two m0o invasions, and some dealings with CA, Fountain, Stain, pirates, etc later.. CFS stands as one of the weakest 0.0 dwelling alliances there is. They have but a fraction of the members they used to, and about the same ratio of member corps. They have lost the majority of military engagements, and never once suceeded in repelling an invasion. Fountain now owns all of the stations in all three regions, has refine taxes in several of them. The majority of residents in all three regions of Querious, Delve and Period Basis have no connections to CFS whatsoever
CFS has in times before negotiated with pirates and made deals with them, even paid them, and even fought with them against common enemies. There are no frequent pirate patrols (flying through a blockade with wcs and instajumps doesnt count, sorry).
No, the "Coalition of Free Stars" is not dead.. But as an alliance they have absolutely nothing going for them, fantasies and wild ideas aside.
This part of space is fountain's back yard, and m0o's playground, tresspassers will be shot. Mining passes and hunting passes available at discount rates, contact Sassinak ingame. _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning.
