Im flying about, and my ship randomly changes direction and starts flying in a straight line to nowhere (or sometimes into people).
Is this a proposed change or another "feature". A few people I know are also having this bug, at first I thought i was going insane, so has anyone else had this bug. Stealth nano nerf?

Are you sure you are not accidently double clicking in space? Or flying close to objects?

tbh, you probably accidentally double clicked in space somehow, because i do get this sometimes as well, and most of the time it was me double clicking in space
i have big hands and a laptop sized mouse, lol its easy to accidentally press buttons, especially if im tired

I have a very dust-sensitive mouse, I very often find myself in the situation of "accidentally doubleclicking" when I should have single-clicked, or moving the scrollwheel up and seing results as if I scrolled down. You might have the very same problem.

This happens to me constantly. They need to change the double click to move to a triple or quadruple click TBH, since people rarely use this function in the first place. My ship will never sit still for more than 30 seconds before it starts moving off in some random direction because I accidentally double clicked 0.01cm away from a button instead of clicking the button.

Accidental doubleclick, hitting random objets in space, trying to stop ship and the ship computer thinks a 360 spin-a-roony is the best option, mice in the control panels. It's really just normal saturday

You never properly PvP'ed, have you? People use the click in space to go somewhere plenty, especially in smaller ships, like Interceptors, you try approaching a BS head-on... So ppl use it, just not the ppl you know. Saint unlocked my sig!!! For this I will buy her unlimited amounts of Beer at FF!

Maybe you were orbiting an object that left space - i.e. a rat that you then destroyed, which will cause your ship to continue along its last trajectory, in a straight line.

Actually about 2 years ago it was very rare to have this happen since you had to click multiple times very rapidly. Then for some reason, don't ask me why, they made it a lot more sensative meaning it's now extremely easy to send yourself in a random direction just by trying to move the screen around. It used to be almost hard to move your ship by double clicking but now it's way to easy to screw yourself over.
Literally overnight it went from never having a problem to having it be a continuous annoyance. Don't ask me why CCP did this but I do think it would be better if they turned it back. All you needed to do was click a couple more times. _______________

I use it all the time and I think you'll find so do most people. Accurate maneuvering is important for PVE and vital for PVP. I guess you've never aligned for a celestial object before the align button was added recently.
I will agree tho that somewhere along the line CCP made the double-click more sensitive and now it's really easy to accidentally change direction when you were trying to move the camera. Would be nice if they could find a balance between the way it used to be and the way it is now.

i'm noticing this in missions that i'll align on something or be orbiting something and then i'll notice i'm heading off in some other direction. it's more of a nuisance than a problem so far but it's definitely a new thing and it's not right.
