Since the latest gunnery and missile changes, it is more
and more important for BS and Cruisers to fit different
sized guns. With the exception of the Raven, Scorpion,
and Caracal, the ship bonus is tied to a certain size of
turret. I suggest to remove this limitation, i.e. give
each ship that has a turret bonus the bonus no matter what
size gun is being fitted. That would especially help
cruisers which currently only have one bonus and that need
to fit different sized guns to be effective against Frigs
and Interceptors.
some Examples:
Rupture gets 5% ROF per level for every projectile turret it can fit
Thorax gets 5% damage per level for every hybrid turret it can fit
Same for BS:
Tempest gets 5% ROF and damage for all projectile turrets
Megathron gets 5% damage and tracking to all hybrid turrets
Apoc gets 10% bonus to energy turret cap use and 5% max cap
Since we are forced to fit different size guns now, I think
it would be a good addition to remove the limitation of the
bonus to a certain gun size.
Don't flame me... just an idea :)

i suggested this before the weapon changes was active. and very few people thought it was a good idea :(. but i do think it's a must. time to be nice to bs for a change

Yeah, I think that it would be a reasonable change too. Just depends on how much coding would need to be changed to accomodate it me thinks.

I think thats a good idea as well, it would make sence to have battleships use all the weap sizes with bonus, crusiers med and small, and frigs just small....
just because the ship gets bigger does not mean they should lose the ability to enhance the sizes underneath....
