Hello,
I have a dell running 32bit Vista game always works fine but today after game went down I tried to log in after it came back up but all I get is the EVE splash screen picture thing and then I hear the sound of the log in screen but the picture will not display...
I tried reinstalling no good,tried system restore no good and right now I am trying to download the client again and then try to reinstall from that one see if it works if not i'll post it.
I'd really like to play the game again,is it just my computer or is anyone else having this problem??????

Actually, i'm having the same issue. After the splash screen, the game appears to be minimized. When i try and switch to and from it nothing happens. Can hear the music in the background as well. Didn't start happening till this morning after downtime.

I got the same problem here, though without the sound (I disabled sound because it confilicts with my HDD and I dissable it if I ever transfer large files.) Well, basically you open up eve and you get a small mouse cursor and a black screen (after the splash of course). I ran across this post and read about the sound still playing and decided to enable sound in my system and reloaded eve and it came up. That's just strange. But anyway, that's what I did to get it to work, but it wouldn't work for you guys since you already have your sound enabled...talk about irony.

alot of people are having this problem.. ccp come on and fix!@@
The work around I have come up with. Change your resolution to some high res 1600xwhatever.. start eve. You will see eve. Change to full screen. Alt tab out to return your resolution to normal.. alt tab back and flip to windowed. Will work until you close it out and start it up again. Remember to switch it back to full screen before you close it out at the end of the day and you dont have to change the resolution at the next start.

Yeah I'm having this problem a fair bit, also using 32bit Vistarrrr.
I tend to boot EVE up in safemode, then turn it up to premium etc, close it down and restart.
Eh, it works, but it's a pain in the ass.
