I seem to have lost 80% of my sounds. The warping sounds, guns, explosions, coming in and out of cloak at the gate. I suppose its a bit more realistic and all that being that space is a vacuum but hey i kinda like sounds in my games.

I have soundcard pitch problems playing EVE also. Some say its caused by EVE messing with soundcards internal clock. Guess that happens through DirectSound.

I too have experienced high speed (faint, chipmunk-like) and/or missing sounds (background music, warp effects, target locking, and notification voice messages being the ones I notice) while my mining laser effects are never effected (all that I've noticed to have remained thus far). I've also noted that the sound system appears to reset itself after an hour or two. Should it matter to the powers that be, I'm running XP Pro, the sound card is the integrated sound of the Asus A7N8X-Deluxe.
