From the looks of their killboard I'd say they've been hired by BoB to hold off the onslaught of the Blood Raiders with their mighty fleets of Mackinaws and Hulks, but are encountering stiff resistance.
In other words, BoB is renting to some macro-mining isk farmers.

funny thing is i search battle clinic for all your kills and i see 0. i search these guys and i see hundreds this week alone 
mabey you need a better PvP macro

Yeah, poor me. No time to PvP since I'm actually in my ship when I'm mining. It does save me from losing fleets of exhumers to rats though, which is nice.
