I have it on good authority that the former great MC pilot, the one, the only Constantine lost his fully officer fit wyvren today. You won't find it on any killboard unless you count the sales forum a killboard 
This TRAGIC and absolutly HORRIBAD blow comes not from a corp mate, not from an alliance mate but was executed by two men with a brilliant plan executed perfectly without any standings whatsoever.
As many of you will know but most do not, MR Constantine flys the mothership with his main characture but he also has a alt who sits in the ship and loggs in it when he wants to go do other things... Long story short, Constantine is convinced to switch into the MS to participate in a HOT DROP!
The trick was to get into the ms before his main (which is not an easy thing)
The MS is at the tower of a large pos, the replacement pilot is in a cov ops only meters from the shields but still over 20km away from the ship. As the alt leaves the wyvren, MR Constantine recieves a gang invite and ACCEPTS! It will now be a full 30 seconds before he can board his MS. CovOps decloaks, mwd's to the ship and hops in.
35 billion isk later the two capers are sitting pretty on top of their new pile of jewgold a dozen systems away, off and running in a cloud of space dust.
This is the SECOND Mothership to be stolen by this pair, both times in a unique way. (the first was a Nyx when they were newly introduced and going for 80b)
So there it is he ACCIDENTALLY THE WHOLE WYVREN!!!
Congrats to the theif and thank you super cap pilots for continuing to show us your generosity!

Nice how you decided to black out the system names you moved it to yet not the nearest "old man star IX - moon 10 part. I would like to say wow you guys are the coolest but it doesnt sound like that great of a plan to be honest. The bob plan to kill the titan by getting it agro with a smartbomb was more clever. This was just the fact that clearly the pilot was pretty ******ed to have a POS that was open to his entire corp used to get a char from the same account into his MS. Less the theives genious plan and more the pilots stupidity.
Ofcourse doesnt make the MS anyless yours now so congratz for your luck in finding somone so stupid.

But how does this work? Upon ejecting from the Covops, doesn't the covops pilot have a session change timer as well, preventing him from boarding the Wyvern for 30 seconds also?

No, you can board the ship instantly, just like boarding a ship from a carrier bay while in another ship...

If the cov ops had already formed a gang (an alt, other thief, whatever) and waited out the session change timer, you won't get another timer for inviting someone else to the fleet, but the person invited will.

I don't mean a session timer from sending the gang invite - I mean one produced by ejecting from the covops.
At least, I think the last time a mission-runner ejected on me I had to wait 30 seconds after I ejected myself before I could board his Drake...

For the record, it wasn't a personal mothership. It was a corp funded mothership that we built long ago during our time within MC. Since then, it's seen many battles, POS seiges, hotdrops, cap fights, and floating pod pilot ship wrecks. It's gotten it's fair use from us, and has the brown stains in the seats to prove it.
Const isn't as upset over loosing the ship, as much as he feels that he has let down the rest of his corp friends. Little does he know that he hasn't let any of us down, I still think of him the same now as when he had the wyv. Hell I might give him my aeon..

I was so desynced when I boarded the ship. My covops showed like 1600m away and when I tried to scoop it I got an error that it was like 8km out. Maybe I bumped the wyv with the covops? I have no idea what happened. I will probably refrain from petitioning, that rarely ends well.

I still believe that self destructing his ship right in front of him would have been simply awesome.
His "dream ship" as someone stated.
I know its really expensive, and worth alot of isk, but its just pixels at the end of the day.
It would have gone down in EVE history as possibly the greatest, and most epic, moment ever.
But well done anyway.

wow.
if those involved [scammed/scammer] are friends in rl, then that is just wrong. on many levels. if they're not friends in rl, but have been ingame friends for 2 years was it? then again, it's still wrong, but over the years in eve and reading the forums i am rarely amazed at the degradation and eventual disintegration of any moral values.
seems to me that over the 11 pages, camps are divided into those who think it's funny and class it as clever and those who consider it about as dishonourable as can be.
one thing is for sure, is that there are some who have read this and will now be eyeing their corp mates and ingame buddies with a suspicion they never had before.
just my opinion, which i am ofc aware doesn't count, but the entire sorry episode seems to have sullied eve somewhat and this thread makes me feel like washing my hands. |

Everyone has their breaking point where ISK Gain>E-Honour... For some it's as little as a few mil, for others it's many times greater. Anyways, nicely executed and classy theft.
