After the announced nano and wardec nerfs, the removal of all but the 60 day GTCs and now the all out of a sudden "bug" declaration of one of EVEs core features, I was wondering, who is responsible for EVE going down in the past year?
New management? Engagement of ex-Blizzard creative directors? Acquired by EA?

Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 14/10/2008 11:51:16 Who actually considered, in their right mind, of ghost training as a "core feature"?
And i have to answer "noone" as there's been no "fail" as of yet.

I blame the forums and the terrible posters therein
Also, I expect this thread to be the target of a mod airstrike soon, so everyone move away from the windows __________

You have been around for a while... no? I heard Oveur, and T20, Tux and so many others refer to it as a feature. Maybe not a "core" feature, but indeed a feature that makes EVE easier for people with RL obligations like deployments, school, etc.
Anyway, I think most of CCP at this point are out of touch with the playing community. Ever since old timer CCP developer team scattered I have noticed significant breakdown in everything CCP tries to do when they connect to the community.
Oh well.. se la vie

I think both are good changes. And there are too many ppl whining about things that can't be un-done. It was never stated on the website that is was a feature. It was used by users to tell others that it was one. Which has been stated that is not one. You could've seen this change coming for ages. Because the eve-china doesn't have the function.

Except that it doesn't. Logging in to start a new skill takes less than a minute. RL obligations do not, and cannot, prevent anyone from having the time to do it. ________________________________________________

Seriously, this.
I mean, wtf? Core feature?
It was a very illogical "feature" to begin with. I don't see how not paying for a service entitles you the right to get anything
RL obligations talk is BS - changing skills takes a minute. 15 euro/month is peanuts, and worth it for the skills training and a few sessions of play even if you have heavy RL obligations.

I've use ghost training in the past, and had planned on using it in the future. Yet for some strange reason I'm not the least bit upset. (mild sadness, yes, but thats about it).
I am mildly surprised Ghost training is being done away with, from a marketing point of view, but not shocked.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

You read the player SkilL Guide where it actually mentions it as a feature, right? Or you just pulling this stuff from your behind? It is very much documented part of the game....

Even if it was a feature, or there referred to as, it was a bonus feature at best. A "non-intended non-priority fixable feature" most likely.
Now they fix it.
Noone in their right mind could think that non-paying people should be able to train.
And since almost every anti-CCP person likes to bring out the WoW comparison; you can't level in WoW, and you still can train off-line, we're much better off.

In wow you learn to play your class while lvl'ing and you the real game at max lvl where you get to do the cool things. But still you are right.

Where in that link does it say that skill-training while inactive is supposed to happen, rather than merely observing that it does? ________________________________________________
