The arguments from people against the ghost training nerf. You do realize that they allowed it for over 5 years? Who gives a crap if it was intended or not. They have realized that a lot of people have been taking advantage of it and it is hurting their income.
So if you really must, respond with "Oh, they'll realize it's gonna hurt them sooo bad when I quit with all my characters and companies shouldn't lie to us and all that nothingness!"
They didn't lie to you. They said we are a company, we are here to make money, it's not a secret. All of you children *****ing about this probably have your mommies pay for your subs anyway, give me back my General Discussion.
And of course, can I have your stuff? --

You are contributing to the whining, good job.

i think he probably means that other people used this point to sell potential players on it as i'm almost certain that CCP have never, not once, never ever said that this was an intended and supported feature.

It have never been an official or unofficial selling point from CCP.
The offline skilltraining however have been! But those two are completely different.

Yes, and it only said "skills will continue when accounts go inactive", it ws no selling point, it was a fact. Now it was EDITED, not ninja-edited, out. Why? Because it's no longer a fact.
Ninja edit would be "we're not telling you were changing things and remove all facts about it".

I don't know if this has been clarified yet but I will do it assuming not. In the player guide talking about skills it mentioned that that eve online was different from other MMOs because it allowed you to train while offline and on inactive accounts. This has been changed in lieu of the new anti-ghost-training "feature"

And that's a lie.
It was never, not even in the screenshots used to "prove" this, said "this game is different because skills train when your account is inactive", it simply stated that skills will train.

Be careful with that sort of statement. There's an awful lot of things that CCP have never said are intended, but currently document.
I suppose what I'm saying is you can't have it both ways. People can't complain about nano changes, changes to CONCORD, and all that stuff, because CCP have never actually gone and said all that stuff was 'intended', and complain when people complain about this change.
People will complain. Better to let them do so and feel some carthatic relief than argue over trivia that are meaningless anyway because CCP are doing this whether we like it or not. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... Yea Sheriff, it was a fact, or game feature, and not a "bug". The declaration of it being a "bug" is what is rubbing everyone the wrong way.

And? There's plenty of bugs tha are known about, but still there, ad as far as documentation goes, they tell the truth.
Dare i say this?
Yes i dare.
Maybe they didn't have time to fix such an "important bug" because of all the lag/drone/race whines?
By the way, if the only reason people are angry is saying the word bug, in this business, bug means a feature that is not supposed to be in. Games have plenty of bugs in them that are bugs, but are stated as "that's how it is" until it's fixed.
Unintended feature is a bug as much as a crashing game.

CCP's website also says this:
Quote: CCP MAY FIND IT NECESSARY ON OCCASION TO MAKE CHANGES TO OR RESET CERTAIN PARAMETERS OF THE PERSISTENT GAME WORLD MECHANICS, INTERFACE OR FEATURES OF EVE ONLINE IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN GAME BALANCE AND ENHANCE PLAYABILITY OR PERFORMANCE FOR ITS SUBSCRIBERS. THESE CHANGES MAY AFFECT OR CAUSE SETBACKS FOR THE CHARACTERS YOUÆVE CREATED.
In other words, just because it was in the player guide doesn't mean it was set in stone __________

Yeah i think that if it was a "bug" it wouldn't have taken 5 years to fix. Or maybe that's just my common sense talking.

This bug would as much time to fix as me typing this sentence. It's a very simple change, not very complicated at all.
