The Griffin is a powerfull frigate if used properly.
I played around with a buddy long time ago and his Griffin really ****ed me off.
Still this kill could have been avoided me thinks.

I agree but I don't see damage drones in his bay. I'm really wondering why he had those ecm drones if he never bothered to use them...

Had to be. With cap boosters and a repper and the damage control, he couple have outlasted those frigs DPS for... well... pretty much forever.
