why is there actually a need to change those? why the change from velocity bonus to signature radius bonus?
i mean, whats the cool thing here then, with these changes i consume an x-instinct booster now to get lower sig radius while i most likely lose armor hp or shield hp as side effect. why should it be usefull to get less damage (in only some situations that is) when you most likely lose hp in exchange?
so keeping my hitpoints in every situation and keeping my little higher sig radius in every situation is the best solution, meaning... dont consume any x-instinct booster anymore?!
booster are sort of expensive, uber time consuming to build and only a hand full of people actually use standard to strong booster anyways. they are just not good enough to make more than the hand full of people pay for them. there are a few exceptions like exile booster or even drop booster capital pilots like to use sometimes.
just dont change another one of those booster to something no one wants to use, there are already enough mostly useless booster. i always thought you wanted to create some sort of market for it and get them accepted by a bigger group of pilots, with bigger meaning more that just a few. dont get me wrong, i also dont want them to become standard for everyone, they should still be something more or less special. to not condemn another booster to uselessness would at least be a good start.

drugs are bad for you, hmmkaay?
now seriously, i dont know the numbers but the above argument makes sense, why minimize your sig in order to tank better (be it due to i-is-harder-to-hit or to i-takes-longer-to-lock-onto)? does the combined effect of speed tank and sig diminishment make it unbalanced? ---- You don't have to like it - I don't blame you for not liking it. |

Speed "tank" doesnt work at all - it gives around 25% damage reduction close to maximum speeds - thus sig tank is more important. But 7,5% sig reduction on x-instinct is just a joke. It is pretty much useless booster.

Agree it is useless, feel bad for the people that spent effort getting into drug production. Cost a lot to produce, to purchase, and lasts an hour. Was a good design, now again ruined.

I peed a little laughing at this comment. Maybe its because the group I am in makes and sells all drugs to everyone and in small and bulk amounts in the hundreds of boosters. It is not a handful of people who use boosters or just capital pilots. It is people who want that extra edge to win the fight that use drugs. If you really understood drugs you would realise only 3 skills need to be trained to properly use drugs with minimal side effects. Also I aint trained those skills beside biology and have only 1 time got a side effect. You do not get a side effect every time you use a drug it is chance based just like scanning. Train the skills to not get the negative hit.
You are right that the change will probly make X-instinct not as good a booster for sales but I am sure other people see the advantage of a lower sig radious. Even if it becomes worthless I can always use it for making strong and improved drugs of other flavors that will sell. Also I sold all of my stock before the nerf hit. If you have a problem with the nerf please put a way to fix it instead of just saying its not worth it anymore.

After the speed nerf hits your gonna be glad of even a 7.5% sig reduction, especially when stacked with mods..such as thukker extenders and Halo implants..not useless at all.
And yeah Papa..Right on.

Try again. Sig tank doesnt work too good vs "your class" weapon. Thus as a ceptor pilot you can take all possible sig decrease mods and still die. Instead of playing with 7,5% booster id prefer to kick in armor rep amount one or tracking/sig radius decrease for missile sone. Thats is if i even bother to use drugs - for me they are too cumbersome to use anyways.

lol i would have to agree, sure they take a bit of time and depth to get to the level of production/smuggling but it is one of the most rewarding professions in EVE.
our alliance has been making a living doing it for along itme, and a good living at that. They arnt to pricey for the bonus's you get, in combat that extra % can really make the differance.
