Armor fit?......might as well get a domi because other than align time, the domi beats the ishtar in every way. (unless you like sentry drones for pvp.
I don't know anyone who would tell you otherwise

Problem, like all hacs, is that they lack a buffer and when webbed usually die while fitting a buffer gets you webbed more quickly which only leaves and active tank. On the plus side, what it lacks in buffer it makes up for in pain and flexibility,a sac will tank 100 dps more, but do 100 dps less and loose a mid so take your pick.
This i found used to work quite well
[Ishtar, 45230] Armor Explosive Hardener II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Internal Force Field Array I Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800 Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Sensor Booster II Warp Disruptor II
200mm AutoCannon II, Barrage S 200mm AutoCannon II, Barrage S 200mm AutoCannon II, Barrage S Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I
Ancillary Current Router I Ancillary Current Router I
Ogre II x5
Primerally for bullying torp ravens in belts, swapping the sb for a td "should" be possible if you replaced a tii mod or two with named of fraction it it's tight either way. Idk, i find it more entertaining to be up close (where i can scoop the pesky drones) than hovering at 28 and hope that they don't shoot them.
Once the web reduction does through it will be more viable again, loose a nos and you can fit both mwd and ab, or both a scram and a disruptor etc. If you have a good supply of drones, it's a very, very nice ship. -------------------------

Actually, if you watch the Deadspace movies by DoctorStupid2, it shows the Ishtar can fit a hefty tank, mind he went against PvE fitted ships, still impressive.. ------------- Descend, bold traveller, and attain the centre of the Earth. |

You have to faction fit the Ishtar to squeeze a reasonable tank on it... the CPU is really tight.

Nah, nerf Gallente and Minmatar for all I care. Hell, Gallente's sekrit fear is that someone will find out how awesome blasters and med drones are.. they should totally be nerfed.
And Minnies are skeered that someone will figure out that 1400s are overpowered and barrage is freaking capless. And their cap ships are vertical. Nerf looks tbfh.

Not for long you should read the dev blog Webbers are getting the nerf bat finally,
Sorry I have always said Webber are like a fatality move in mortal combat they make PVP WAY to Predictable... and the devs agree with =)
Give it another few months and after the 50-60% across the board nerf to Webbers they wont be the finishing move. I canĘt wait =)

My Alt fly both ships. The Dominix is a slug in comparason to the Ishtar. I love the Ishtar for ratting as my corp mates will testify & it really has a god tank. I rat in Angel space & the shield goes down very fast but when the rats hit the armor tank-it is like a brick wall.
You take less damage comparatively than the domi & whilst I have 2 medium tec2 reps I can happily get buy with one & this is when tanking multiple Malakin or Nephillium battleship spawns. Don't knock the Ishtar I would sooner use it in 0.0 space as the alignment-if you screw up by not checking local is so much quicker.
With HAC4 you only get 50m less space than the domi so you can pack most drones like the domi.
Just tank the ship by looking at the resists you need for your ratting space & you are away-I have never regretted training this ship-it is an excellent armor tanker & it can be given higher resists than the domi. The only sacrifice is tank stability but that is not a problem if you fit for a cap booster but can run it all day ratting on one repper.
