So I'm looking into getting a paladin to run missions. Most of my skills are heavy into amarr but I see most people talking about Golems. Does it make sence to train for a golem or will the time investment not pay off compared to any increase in speed vs the paladin?

Paladin is probably the second best Marauder in general and in some cases (Sansha,BR,Drones) the best. Considering it takes BS V to fly the thing, if you already have Amarr BS V, in my opinion Golem isnt worth it, at least in the short term.
If you are running Amarr missions, or ratting in Sansha/Drone/BR space, the time investment probably isnt justified enough. This is, assuming you already have BS V and T2 large lasers.
Just my 2 cents.

If you have over 30 million skill points then you need to look at having another race trained. For myself, its Caldari/Amarr. If you have less than the 30 million don't worry about it.
PS the Nightmare, Golem, and the caps are great; great carrier(Caldari), great Dread (Amarr), great JF(Caldari). Now training up the Black ops (Caldari).

I run lvl 4 missions in a paladin, I wouldnĘt have it any other way tbh.
No ammo = more salvaging room :)
I have never had to warp out in a paladin, I would recommend this ship if you are flying Amarr agents canĘt say for other regions though.
