Colour code or change the damage mod icons so they're visually different!!! I'll admit to putting a mag stab on my tempest... I'll admit it, but at least I didn't put Republic fleet gyrostabs on my Erebus...
Red for projectile
Blue or Green for hybrid
Yellow for lasers.
It's a simple fix that would make sorting through the hanger and fitting in a hurry alot easier.
Not sure if this has been brought up before, I did a search of the forums, but nothing came up. If it has, give it some love anyway!!! |

Supported. The current icons are impossible to distinguish between. Color-coding them for our convenience will make it easier to fit the right modules (and they only need to be color-coded to match the factions' T1-hull color (yellow for Amarr, red for Minmatar, green for Gallente...)). Now, what with Mining Laser Upgrades, Gas Harvester Upgrades and Ice Harvester Upgrades? Shouldn't they need color-coding too since they use the same icon as gyrostabs and mag field stabs? |

They should have totally different looking icons, doesnt make sense that they would look the same. |

Something could be said for pilots being more careful when fitting mods, but it's hard to blame the pilot when the mods all look exactly the same!
This should be a relatively easy and quick fix, and it's one of those things that the majority of EVE players would benefit from.

This is a solution if there are different types of items in between those mods, which is not always the case. I sorted my hanger by type, and my gyrostabs and magstabs ended up right beside eachother. If you don't sort your hanger all of the time, and happen to drop something in there, it can mess things up.
Also, depending on how large your hanger window is, the items can end up directly above/below eachother.
I agree that sorting can help minimize the problem, but I also think that a visual difference would help even more. |
