Our Corp is dirt poor atm,
(Donations are appreciated... even 1 isk haha )
Anyways back to the topic?
POS mining? But all good moons are taken by superpowers GTC? RL is this way (<---) Game life is that way (--->) Missions? In a war atm, so we're gettin pew pewed at and they want 525mill for surrender fee... especially when we're dirt poor.
Got any ideas that would make our corp earn some decent amount isk?
Opinions are welcomed Donations are more then welcomed
Trolls r welcomed. come Poast, we miss you.

I agree..if they declared the war they are loosing money.Use the money they asked you to retreat the war and fight them...in the end they will have alot to pay and will retract the war.If you stay there like chicken and wait for them to retract the war or even make the big mistake and pay them...if other find out you will surely get more wars

What is the scope of your corporation? what do you do?
If you mine, you best have regular mining ops, as in 2-3 times a week. Gather all the minerals and sell as corp. If you mine and produce do the above but refine and get in corp ship and items at very low prices for members and the rest sell on market. You can find other corps that need a steady supply of minerals or ships and modules to work with.
If you mission run, use the tax setting for your corporation, not too high, but not low as 2-3%. Find a good balance as to not bother the individual member making isk for himself. Another way to do it is to have corporation wide mission running ops, and for the duration of these ops set the tax rate at 100%.
Get all the items that drop in the corp missioning session and use them for yourselves or sell on the market, refine, etc. have assigend pilots for salvaging and for looting.
You can also run complexes and do some exploration, but always as a corporation, best scan pilot scans, best tank pilot is the main aggro puller, you know the drill.
Once you get the hang of working together and start getting some income and things are doing well, find a 0.0 system somewhere in 0.0 NPC space, scout it for a week or two with a couple members. What other corps pass by? How aggresive are they? Use that pocket for mining/ratting/pos/etc.
Whatever you do, work together as a corporation on a regular basis.

Edited by: Velios on 17/10/2008 23:46:58 Continually invest your isk in assets that will last for all time and provide you with regular, predictable returns. Get enough assets over time and you will have a steady, invulnerable income stream that is not affected by outside factors like war.
I am of course talking about blueprint originals (mostly of items that people want)
Get them locked down so they are safe, in a good bit of space, start copying (in a pos if you can afford the investment) and then get creative with your selling methods.
Thats how M.Corp made it's money in the beginning, and provided a solid foundation for our more risky ISK making strategies later on. THE LATEST M.CORP BRIEFINGS

In all seriousness best way to make isk as a corp that ive found is making sure you keep it fun. Isk making doesnt have to be boring as heck if you do it with friends. In this sense think outside the box, if you have no isk its tricky and youl have to do slightly more boring actitivites but once you have a bit. POS mining in the background of whatever your corp are doing (until you have a bunch of POS its not too much hassle fueling em) that helps build up the wallet if your corps being a bit inactive.
Best fun way i found to make isk was killing hostile POS's for isk, now achievable since there are so much silly empire research pos's that have over a bil of equip on med/small towers that are owned by small corps. Dont neccessarily need dreads but it helps. POS smacking itself isnt so fun but it does tend to force these small corps/alliances into fighting you, and that can mean a nice pvp engagement for you. Unless you clusterblob them but it doesnt sound like you guys can do that anyway.
So basically think group activites or go lady scarlets route and just charge everyone 100 mil a month (not smacking, it certainly did work for DICE).

Once you shake the war dec as a corp use all of your corp's lvl 4 agents to continually have a lot of farmable missions active. Use corp contracts and smart placing of offices to give your corp access to these farmable missions.
Imo the best bet is to get corp drakes at each mission site so people can clone jump from one mission to the next.
Set corp tax at 100% and have someone senior coordinate areas and salvaging / loot.
With 20 people active in corp and 5 - 10 on most of the day this should pull in around a bil a day np just in bounties with which you can create prizes, free ships, buy BPO's and generally build the corp from the bottom up.
The key to 100% tax is making sure your corpies are put to work and reap more benefits from within the corp than without.
As this is based upon centralization of reasources you will very quickly see large amounts of corp based assets. For this reason DONT have directors, compartmentalize your assets with a heavy hand and make sure that you are never exposed more than 25%.

Start selling GTC ,they go for over 500 million each. For buyers like me its an insane ammount of ingame cash but for sellers a good income.
Raising you`re Corp Tax will for sure kill your Corp. You can do that for a view hours but not longer than a day. After that you start loosing members because its already the most time consumming game in history to earn ingame cash.
Last option is just close the doors of your Corp and join an alliance.

See the trick to raising tax's is doing it while only you are on, so once you do you can delete the corp mail saying anything about it and noone else in corp will get the mail since they weren't on at the time it was sent.
you see Iron does not leech off a suger daddy (bob) to make its way through eve or define itself as an entity. -Gneeznow 2008.08.27 |

My advice is to keep tax low and aggressively recruit. You want to have 50-100 people into the corp as fast as possible. First thing noobs look at is the tax rate, they are coming from noob corps with no tax so that is often a big obstacle.
Your best way to accumulate wealth is to accumulate members. Once you have enough mass then even at lower tax rates your corp will be pulling in some reasonable money, also get them accustom to frequent corp ops and encourage everyone to have a basic mining ship and some basic mining skills, even if it is a cruiser, you can make a lot of money if you have a reasonable player base.
Noobs want to see a strong leadership group with a corp going somewhere, if you don't know what you are doing or where you are going then you wont get the playerbase you need to survive.
You should scout around for a quiet piece of low-sec space and establish a base there. It is no substitute for nullspace but it is important in that you will learn the lessons of survival. You will likely get routed from several different homes but if you are going to survive long-term you can't be fully based in empire. |
