1. What your proposing is WAY TO LONG WINDED. why not make it SIMPLE ? 2.Most people do FW for LP and do missions. only the minority think this is a problem. Everyone plex's for ISK. farming is not a dirty word. remember that. 3.Simple is everything the same. But you kill enemy's they drop a data sheet. you get the tag/or hand it in to your agents you get nice ISK + LP for the kill like handing in scalps.(multiple attackers get a cut based on damage done) better rewards based on the ISK value of what you destroyed. As for system control same deal involved party's get BIG LP rewards or bonus for taking part. this is really all people wanted. rewards for taking part. the reason any one does anything in eve is for the reward. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
The long term dream. make it so militia's can take over almost all of the enemy's space with the ability to TAKE OVER structures RE- BRAND TO Their own. rewards medals and ISK and LP reward to involved parties. to prevent a total take over you could use the sec system to spawn inescapable NPC navy ships to make it imposable for the opposing militia to stage an attack in some places. a green zone type of deal. To take over a regular system should be a medium effort need for logistics ships to rep up damage from the NPC spawns station guns and opposing PVP fleets .
Had a thought about a new structure a "militia fort" positioned on gates and one next to the militia station. "Gate fort" is a easy objective to win and take over can be done solo cheep quick thrills do as many as you like small reward . effect for doing so lessen the amount of NPC's you will face on the gates. will also alert opposing sides to a attempted takeover . Do this in prep for the fleet assault on the "Station fort".
"Station fort" is a fleet objective. takes some pounding. damaged taken is that is linked to the station guns more damage it takes more guns stop firing. Or if this is to hard could be linked to how fast the NPC's spawn when it explodes you can launch and anchor one of your own (makes sense to sell this at the LP store) it takes over the station guns laying siege to the station. apposing militia who un dock take heavy damage but are not often killed but it is a possibility if they muck around or get scrammed by NPC's . the kills that do happen in this way count toward involved party's rewards. small passive rewards till it gets taken down. or helps in some way to the end of week score I talk about later. Advantage should go the original owner of the system. balanced with NPC spawns to make it possible for 5 people to defend a fleet of 10 people attacking. Why because the attacker all ways has the advantage he plans in advance the attack he have the right fleet comp. how do you plan a defense against a surprise attack? you can't. can you shout out "I need help in X.Y.Z system incoming fleet 10 men incoming" in militia chat and form a add hock defense fleet of 5 people and defend it yes I believe you could. It would it be possible and fun . could you hook a matching 10 man fleet of the right fleet comp from that channel before everyone gets board and moves on. I do not think that fleet would ever happen. defense should be rewarded higher with unique rewards to encourage the people to come to the call for help. To defend their space.
the thing eve really is missing is the ability to make any achievement fast I'd love to change this you should be able to take over a gate fort solo in 10mins and a station fort in 80 minutes. if undefended. re secure it back in the same time frame. there should be a cap in place on the amount of station fort attacks you can take part in and be rewarded for with in 24hr so one time zone cannot dominate. I'm unsure how best to do this ,my thoughts so after your fleet has taken over X amount of systems in a night you do zero damage to the fort structures for 24Hr where/how best to balance better left up to devs.
attacking is easy make it take damage and stay alive. Defense when the structure take damage you can REP it with logistics ships for a average gain to the structures shields. or we can stock it with engineers and metal structures (or similar). they repair it much faster but they die as a result of the damage. (creating a new market)making us need to fly in transport ships a protected convoy type of thing. as well as defend
At the end of every day points for kills forts/systems taken and defended get counted up on the score board for each militia. At the end of the week the winners get LP % rewards for the week passed this is to everyone in that militia. so I make 100,000 LP that week militia wins I get 50%bonus. if we came 2nd gets bonus 20% 3rd get no bonus. and 4th get 20% reduction this will make sure that you want to do your bit.
After watching the dev talk about what CCP though they should do to spice it up I would leave the militia never to return I do not like one part of what is planned . I did agree that notifications do need to be real-time. upgrade your systems sure sounds good. Medical drones as a bonus MEH data cores MEH. NPC's yeah lose jamming. eve dust link sweet he did state nothing was concrete I hope this gets passed on and prevents a big BOO WHO CCP KILLED MY GAME backlash from a mass of players. That would suck. I would not be bent out of shape over his changes. eve is big enough to just go do something else. Eve is the best game I have ever played. and it still would be even with the changes CCP has in mind. I am not not saying I have all the answers but it is food for thought. What do you FW do guys think ? Agree or NO if yes or no please state why. |

I think it was something along the lines of; Don't nerf missions. That's the only reason anyone does FW.
I can confirm PvP is for scrubs. Who wants to PvP when you can /farm/ missions? |
